There is almost always an agenda behind accusations of someone being gay. In David's case, it's clear that those doing it are attempting to harm him. Regardless of what you or I might think regarding homosexuality, we all know that such accusations will hurt a person's career in almost every instance. Those who continue to point the finger despite David's clarification are obviously seeking to damage him. I have complete contempt for these people.
As much as I love him and I wish that he were being honest and that he really is as comfortable in his skin as he claims to be I really think that he is gay. Maybe I'm wrong but he just seems so awkward and unsure of himself that he is still trying to discover who he is.

Keep in mind that David Archuleta is Mormon, and as any Mormon that eventually came out of the closet will tell you, when you are Mormon it's your obligation to ONLY say that which represents the Mormon beliefs when you are in public. I know current Mormons that are gay but yet in public if asked will still say that they are into girls, simply because it is their instinct, it's been engrained into them. If David really is gay, I don't think we will know until years down the road.

By the time he was most likely allowed to date (most Mormons wait until they're 16), he had auditioned for American Idol and his career had taken off. He hasn't had TIME for a relationship. Well, he has a life story bok..But it came out last year. im sorry. Bu in that book he directly says his song "crush" is about that girl. and i hope if they get together, it makes him happy. (: he also has another book. its called "dream big american idol superstars David Archuleta" I had to order it from barnes and nobel. Glad i could help. =]

He does not say a name. But he does say the girl in his crush video was just an actress. Due to his American Idol misshap when everyone was calling his prom date ugly, he does not want to give out to much information about his friends, or anything like that. And your welcome. (:
