I caught a 44 3/4" Northern Pike up there. It was the record in Minnesota but i never caught anything like that nice fish :)

I haven't been up to Ely since 08, this video really makes me want to go ! I use to go into Basswood from the 4 mile portage from Fall lake..Its in bad shape. Love the smallmouth bass fishing there ! Glad to see you guys put them back, that's great !

@Uwiluz60 never been on that portage, we use the moose lake chain portage. couldnt imagine a 4 mile one.
