i have the space to lay out a 4x8 layout but not store it, (has to go on the family room floor) so I took my 4x8 and cut it into two 4x4 sheets, and bought some hinges from the lumber yard (get the flattest decent size you can) and flat screws to hold it together and put them on the bottom, then got some thin strips of wood to go around the bottom edge to make it more rigid, and hold it up off the hinges. My layout sits level, is elevated, and has easy fold up storage. It works great!

i have had a 4x8 and now i am soo excited to get more work on my new layout (11'x11') i have the bench just am thinking about the track ur layout has an amazing track plan i have no idea of wahat to do i am thinking two track main and a small yardand an elevarted brachline i am still thinking .... great ideas they look great for planning i am goin to try it !:-) 5 *

i built a 3 by 6 ft n scale layout und er my bed on small rubber casters so if u have room 4 ur bed u have room 4 a small n scale layout plz tell me what u think thx AJ
