  • Are women allowed to drive trains?

  • Ok everyone off you get and push it back up the hill.

I take it a Locomotive is used to do that job.

  • Very entertaining! I worked on the Deviation in about 1970 er? and we came back from the Dduallt Hilton in a gravity train; it ran from Dduallt to Tan-y-Bwylch where our cars were. Great fun, but I'm glad there weren't any cars on a crossing that we went over rather fast! And it was definitely preferable to pushing the train up to Dduallt, which we had to do on Friday night.

  • First time I've seen this - marvellous, although I have been a member of the FR for 30 years. Perhaps they could dig the horse 'dandy' out of the museum and have that artificial horse in it at the back as well! That would really make it look even more realistic! He! he!

  • each wagon has its own break on and as the man (or women) on the first truck applies the break he looks back along the line of trucks and instructs the next man to apply their breaks.

  • Nice video, can anyone ride on it or do you have to be an FR member.

  • this was a specially ran gravity train over the three day weekend and there was a charge for a ride on it. I dont know wether there will be a chance to ride on another one though sorry.

  • Thanks, what a shame I would really have liked to travel on it.
