  • Would you consider doing a video review on Brooklyn Brew Shop's starter kit?

  • Comment removed

  • 5 PEOPLE WAS ALIEN ?

  • Im Gonna Get One Of That

  • @markdeaton the typical brew kit makes about 2 cases or so

  • that beer u were drinking looked pretty flat...primed with carb drops or white sugar?

  • Where's the sanitizer?

  • @markdeaton I think its expensive to start but pays for itself after a few batches. If you get into buying your own grains it gets cheaper.

  • Plastic bottles ?

  • got my kit last week , made it yesterday , it just bubbled for the first time . Cant wait !!!

  • I got my coopers home brew kit today . The sugar that cam with the kit broke open, but did not make that much of a mess. I called the Coopers people and told them my sugar was busted and they are sending a new one. Great customer service I think. At the end of the call they asked how I heard of coopers I told them it was your videos . They know who you are and are relay happy about what you are doing for home brewing. I want to thank you also for making this so easy.

  • @daviddavies437 Very cool to hear/ Thanks.

  • Got myself a Coopers starter kit, but the fermentor hasn't got a hole for the spigot. Was wandering what is the best height for it from the bottom of the fermentor? Greetings from Poland. Cheers! ;)

  • @gustlero2 On mine, the top of the hole is half way down that bottom ring. Not sure if yours is the same model.

  • @markdeaton

is your 30 pack of beer 750 ml or 340ml bottles?

  • Would you say this is the best starter kit?

  • @JulianSOLOMU Well I haven't seen all the others, but I think it's one of the best, yes.

  • Craig I was wondering what the alcohol percentage is in the Coopers Microbrewery kit? How could I increase the alcohol percentage without screwing up the beer?

  • Craig thank you so much for all your videos. i havent watched all but i will. i havent watch this video yet as i am typing a question to you now ok Sir im a big Beer Lover my self could you please tell me where or how do i get a Coopers Micro Brew Kit ? once again thank you so much

  • Can you buy those bottles seperetly? i already got everything else but the bottles

  • Craig, Just curious are you married? I'm new to the brewing thing and the wife's already giving me hell, lol...

  • @broker3460 Yes I am. I spend much less on home brew than I would buying beer.

  • Does this kind of homemade beer contain any alcohol? In that case how much, in percents? If so, I am so getting one of these Micro Brew Kits! :D

  • @laktosmiffo Absolutely. It's up around 5%.

  • Man! Drink that beer.. lol..

Thanks for the video. I´d like some of these here in Brazil too.

  • I loved your presentation congratulations. 'm from Brazil. Unlucky in Brazil has no such product.

  • Craig, I was just wondering how long the whole process takes from start to finish?

  • To make it.. an hour. To bottle it... an hour and a half, maybe two.

  • Hello Craig,

I too live in Canada and was wondering about the price of this kit, is it USD or CAD? Also, did you get dinged with duty when it crossed the boarder or do they ship from Canada? I sent an email to Coopers but didn't get a response. Thanks!

  • when i start brewing {im in a small own in canada so this stuff is all hard to get for me) i wanna try alot of different flavors i saw you do the honey but do you kno if it is possible to buy the apple and strawberry and other kinds of flavors to make.

  • I'm sorry, I have no experience in this area.. Good luck tho. :)

  • good video craig. i'm a novice brewer and am peacing togather my home brew kit.i got on from my boss at work for free. he go it as a gift and never used it.i replaced the parts that needed to go. all i need now is a good stock pot saw one at wal-mart for $50.00 i'm hopeing to get it soon.thanks for the vid.keep up the good work

  • You really don't need to spend 50 bucks on a stock pot. You just need a pot big enough to boil a gallon of water to pour into your fermenter.

  • i also brew myself, i live in Holland and there are MANY homebrew stores here. Also like BIG supermarkets, all filled up with home brew stuff. A little bit like heaven actually. You just walk with your shoppingcart trough the store and you get some buckets, thermometers, malt, hops whatever you need. Really really great. Is it the same as where you live ? or do you need to order everything by the web?

    thanks for your videos.

    Niels (pronounce it like Neels)

  • Well first of all, I guess I'll start packing for my move to Holland. No we have to find a local home brew shop or order it online.

  • Our alcolal is very heavily taxed, so I doubt the government would want every Tom Dick and Harry making their own brew.

  • Hey dude did you forget yuor glasses or lenses =) hehe just joking. Nice vid, I also do all grain but i think this vid and kit will make people more interested in home brewing and realize that budweiser sucks, Bud is like having sex in a canoe, fucking close to the water =)

  • im getting 1 soon , cant wait

  • Cool setup. great vid!

  • Craig, what's your opinion of single fermentation process, like this Cooper's kit, versus a double fermentation kit like I have?

  • Ah ya, the old single vs. dual stage debate. Personally, I've never seen the need for the second stage. You leave the beer in the bucket until it's done fermenting, usually 7 days max. and then bottle. I've tried two stage and saw no benefit. There may be types of beer that require aging in a carboy. The kits that I use don't.

  • Always look forward to a new set of vids from 'The Man'. Very entertaing as per usual Craig. Good to see the glass holding up to moderate use eh he.

  • Thank you. Actually your glasses are used on a daily basis, and Stuart's glass is used for the 750 ml beers.

  • hey Craig, I am watching this video while enjoying my very own homebrew. I all-grain brew but this looks like a really great kit that includes everything, even an instructional dvd! fantastic, maybe more people will homebrew thanks to you vid. keep brewin.

  • hi craig, Nice video mate thanks for all the help and videos .I am just enjoying one of my first home brew's (made easy). nice 1

  • Absolutely nothing. This is not an add. How dare you insinuate that I would demonstrate a product only because of getting paid. I'm actually quite offended. Learn proper grammar as well.

  • Sweet vid Craig... that's alot of gear you get with it too... gonna have a look at the site after I watch your other vid.

    ...heres we goes.

  • good ol' craig keeping us up to date on the world easy homebrewing. You're the man Craig!

  • thanks a lot this is much easier than getting someone to buy me alcohol. (no age limit) :-)

  • thats if mummy and daddy let you

    =P

  • O_o little do they know

  • how much is a coppers kit???

  • Do you mean the one I show here, or just the malt extract and sugar? I won't quote the Micro Brew kit because they may change their prices, but the can and dextrose is around $20. Visit their site for more details on prices. Address at the end of the video.

  • it's about 85 dollars

  • Very cool! Just like Christmas!!

  • i bought that brewing kit a few years ago. it gets the job done very nicely. made stout, lager and ipa didnt have to hassle what so ever. Just read the instructions and made beer.

As far as sanitizing the bottle and the fermented i just used simple plain bleach. 1 cap full per 5 gallons. let it rest for 1 hour and rinsed it out till i could no longer smell any bleach. Beer came out better than the big named companies. 5 out 5 stars for this kit! Makes brewing so easy and fun.

  • Excellent! My brewing video is on the editing block right now and yes, I did mention using bleach to sanitize. It says so in the instructions. It's a great kit and I'm looking forward to bottling.

  • bring plenty of brews on your trip. nothing worse than being out in the wilderness and running out of cold ones.

  • If ya run out of beer, you pack up and go home. That reminds me of some time ago when I used to live in an apartment where the elevators were always breaking down. I was petrified of these things, but I noticed that as long as I had a case of beer with me, I didn't give a crap if I got stuck for the whole night.

  • Didnt you have stairs as an alternative to the lift if you NEEDED to get out man?

  • thats a sweet brewing kit i think i will invest in some of them for christmas presents, you cannot get enough friends and family involved in brewing beer.

  • p.s great vid and have a good camping trip.

  • StarSan FTW!!!

  • Cheers Craig. I look forward to the video.

  • Great video as always. Any chance, Craig, you could start wearing glasses instead of squinting so much? I fear you are working your eyes to the point of blindness and ruining your posture as you peruse the items you have in your hands. Just a thought from a concerned fan. Be good - can't wait to start brewing and find out if the beer from this kit is worth using.

  • Glasses don't help a man who's legally blind. Thanks for the concern tho.

  • Do you think this kit is good value for money? It's marked up at 75 GBP over here, which seems a little steep! I wasn't aware that starting to brew cost so much!

    Have a good camping trip!

  • Sweet kit =)

  • I question why did you by a whole new kit, when you already have all of the basics. Do you have a shopping addiction to brew kits?

  • wow, nice kit! i didn't expected that much quality stuff. NICE!

  • First viewer!! :D
