All I want to do is watch the original Alderaan destruction scene, but if you search for it all you get is garbage ass edited versions of it that suck major dick......... I WANT THE ORIGINAL SCENE !!!!!!!!!!!! Thumbs up if you agree and you have this problem
I always thought Lucas should have included some shots of the destruction on the planet itself - I'm glad someone else did too. I like the Yoda bit, but like others have said, it feels out of place considering he doesn't appear in the rest of the film. Nice work.
I like the thought behind Yoda appearing there but it would be confusing to anyone not familiar to the series why this random creature appears. And the clips from Riddick (?) work well with this
The imperial march needs to be in all 6 movies dude. It's the theme of the empire/vader. The Imperial march is in the prequels....And I kinda like the yoda scene....but I don't think it should be put in the movie.
I think Adywan's work is brilliant, but there are some downsides of such modifications: Yoda isn't supposed to appear before Empire Strikes Back. Same thing for the "imperial march" theme. You hear it multiple times in Adywan's A New Hope. Kind of takes away the big chill you get when you hear it for the first time during the Hoth assault, in all its magesty.
Were you referring to Adywans' videos or this one. Because I made this.. :-)
I agree with you on your points though, but you should know that its all supposed to be in good fun, not to be taken seriously as a part of the films.
Oh yeah, and the shot of Yoda feels a little out of place, since he does not appear anywhere else in Episode IV's narrative. It's a nice attempt at keeping him in the narrative, but I don't feel it's necessary.
This is a great proof of concept, and I'd love to see a scene like this integrated into the movie. It really gives a face to the destruction of Alderaan, whereas currently it's just a big blue ball that explodes. With some footage of people actually fleeing for their lives and ducking for cover, you really feel some of Leia's pain. Maybe there could be a shot of Senator Organa somewhere in there, too. It just need some new footage so it's not so obvious what sources were used.
No way, only one Ewok died on screen. His friend tried to revive him, and he even groaned as the music got all sad. The one shot down in his hang glider didn't seem to die, but the other one? Most definitely.
As much as an elaborate apocalypse on the planet would disrupt the narrative flow of Leia's captivity, the viewer has no emotional investment in the destruction of Alderaan. Seeing that one Ewok die in RotJ stins more than a planetful of humans get blown up. Lucas should've put a scene like this in.
Or maybe he will, and we'll all have to buy the Trilogy again.
Anyway, this is great! NIce job MortenTrailerGuy. 5/5
I like the way it all goes quiet before the explosion. Some flashing green energy going across the horizon would be really good. Is that music from Starship Troopers or Star Wars? Can't tell.
wow this gave me goosebumps.. COOL!

I like the idea of nobody getting a chance to react better, the just scream for half a second then are silenced.

I believe that Lucafilm was toying with this idea many yrs ago? As well as inserting the Imperial March into Star Wars.

The original was like: "As if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror" and I don't even give a damn.

having Yoda in it kinda ruins the surprise of seeing him for the first time in Ep 5 without knowing he is the Jedi Master Luke is looking for
That, along with the Vader being Luke's dad plot twist is why i like to watch the films in this order: 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6.
noisyimp 2 years ago
having yoday in the new first film REALLY ruins it then. LOL

ALWAYS watch 4 5 6 in that order. Don't even bother including the new movies- they suck too hard.
