  • lush, i love it, great idea

  • Youtube: "Chicken Nipples" or google or ebay way more effective than this style I have 43 chickens that use 15 of them...no mess, no poop in the water ever, NEVER any clean up...just add water. Great video though!

  • roof

  • thats a really cool chicken coop

  • LOL this is awesome! This is one of the nicest chicken setups I have ever seen, they live in luxury! Happy chickens = yummy eggs

  • Thanks for making this video and sharing it. Looks like a lot of effort on your part with the design and built of the coop

  • That is so cool :-)

  • your coop is very cool lol and clean

  • That is a really neat chicken coop. Where did you get the design?

  • it all came from my head.

  • I think thats One hell of a cool coop. Im starting to build mine out of an old free standing garage in the back, and I got some pretty good ideas from your Vid.

    Thanks for posting it.....

  • what do you mean whats the point? Uhhhm fresh eggs daily? And something for the kids to get involved with.

  • This is for the birds!

  • who is the song by?

  • Very creative coop. it is great to see someone who is recycling what they already have instead of building one of these fancy coops.

  • very cool chicken coop

  • Hey warren, i figured out another way to determine the gender between buff polish, at about the age in here, the hens are lighter than roosters.

  • really nice!

  • You built in on to your house??? Man its going to stink! Good Luck to you

  • NO! Its built onto the backside of the garage, which use to be the house before the main house was built. the garage was then converted into the garage. (which is seperate from the house) there is no smell! keep the coop clean and you have no smell!

  • @warrenpadgette Agreed! I used to keep my chickens in the garage.

  • I could live in there!

  • lucky chickens to live there!

  • how oldare your chickens in this video

  • they are one year old this month

  • Hi Warren! Love your video! must be the most well looked after hens in the US! We have a mixture of Rhode island reds! (never fail to lay)! Some great little bantums,Great for brooding,or rearing the eggs of any Hens eggs put under them!We bought a little 3 egg incubator from the USA and my little daughter got one hatchling 1st attempt! Can i ask Is the water mains on all the time?how is the pressure controlled?I made a hopper feeder that lasts for a weeks feed, handy for when we go away! (Jon)

  • Awesome video, you are so creative! I love the unique touches like reusing the sink as a nest and the knob on the door. Excellent thanks for posting. Your chickens are lovely.

  • thank you so much for the nice comment, we have had 3 new additions to the flock, they were born christmas morning! all turned out to be polish hens! great looking birds.

  • wow nice coop! hehe it shows how much you really care about them ^^

  • Man!! you are a genuis my friend! I am going to try to build a waterer & laying area for my soon to get chickens. Thanks for all your help!... with the vid. peace.......5 stars!

  • Thanks, yeah give it a shot works GREAT! One more addition to it,(trial and erorr) put a vent in the top with a rubber cork, when filling it remove the rubber cork! Otherwise you build too much pressure and blow the lid and you'll get wet! i see you live in NC? My sis lives in gaffney, love it there! how ya making out with all the rain? Barrels full i am sure!

  • This will not work. Why did you post it?

  • it most certainly does!!!!!!!!!!have you tried it? Its been in use sice i built it! with one exception and i havent had time to repost, DRILL ONE HOLE ABOUT3 INCHES FROM THE BOTTOM. Anything more and it will continue to drain till its empty! Trial and error my friend. But it will work. Sorry i havent reposted the correction...

  • Excellent video! It's obvious you LOVE your chickens! Welcome to the club!

  • at what age did they start laying?

  • My bantam australorp started laying at about 24 weeks, and my standard rir and sussex started a little later, i think late 20's or early 30 weeks. With most breeds its typically between18-35 weeks of age.

I couldnt tell what kind of bantams yours were, type of silkie cross ? judging by the little hair doos and black legs.

  • they sure do live in luxury, very well designed, have they laid in the sink yet ?

  • naw, they are only 4 1/2 months old.

hopefully they will be laying by next month!

Two of our hens turned out to be roosters :(

so we are down to 4 hens and now 3 roosters!

(2 of which have to go!) thanks for the comment.........

  • I got very impatient while waiting for my girls to start laying, and like you one turned out to be male.

    Best of luck

  • Nice watering system.
