Super Mario World - Secret exit in Cheese Bridge Area

I usually drop down slowly with a cape while riding yoshi then ditch jump yoshi to get back up on the platform.

I was trying to do this like I did the GBA version, by going too far over the goal, so you can go past it. It never works on the SNES version.

The easy way is to sacrifice yoshi. Thats what I did back in '93, and just now.

When you have all exits, 97 if I remember correctly, the number on your savegame will turn blue!

I thought this was impossible by flying like here simply because i could not get the incredible BOUNCE that he gets before the exit, i did it with yoshi for completion then tried many more times without yoshi and i am VERY happy to say that i did it with only the cape. altho i didnt bounce like he did, i hovered along the top till it was time to dive under the exit. took a LONG time but its possible! =]

@Morristownsux you are using a emulator. there is your problem. if you look in the manual for this game it says how to do this.

Dude that said it before was right, though. If you haven't gotten the hang of that insane rebound flying technique (I'm pretty good at this game, but that shit is hard to do) it is much easier with a yoshi. You have to have a cape, you just drift down below the finish line, and as soon as you're past it, bail off the Yoshi and you'll land on the ground behind the finish.

You can do it with yoshi. It automatically bounces off the saws to get to the part with the ropes

@Sapphirechao there is a Blue Yoshi or some color ahah anyway there a Yoshi juste befor the last Vertical chaiin saws...jump on them with the Yosh ihel just bounce on them...and sacrefice your Yoshi by falling just in from of the finish line...while your underneat eject from yoshi to get Behind the Line...its easier than the Flying Cap Way ! :P..hope it helped :P

@Oerg866 It's legit. I've done this before. I forgot HOW, but I did it. I cracked open my friend's SNES version after 10 years and got a 95. I realized I never got the secret exit on the Forest Fortress (with the 1UPs). Not gonna be easy.

How do you recover so high while flying? I've been trying to do this on SNES but I can't seem to figure it out. I know how to continuously fly just not pop back up that high.

To go that high, drop that low.

The longer you fall, the higher you go. In some cases, this doesnt matter.

You have to dive first by pressing right and then recover by pressing left

@GetDeltWith In order to do that you have to push down and let yourself dive towards the grown, when this occurs, you can then push up and it will do as you see in the video. I hope this helps.

If you're not cape savvy, what you could do is keep yoshi. Use the saws and hop on them (making sure you're completely on top of each one you hop on) and go below the first finish line with yoshi and the cape. Once you're below the finish line...making sure you don't pass through it, jump off of yoshi with your "A" button to get level with the other checkpoint past it. That's all you have to do. But you need yoshi and the cape. In other words, as you're falling, jump off.

you gotta be extremely good at flying with the cape.....if i were you i would get a cape, and yoshi.then get right b4 the end then float off the edge go as far right as you can then ditch the yoshi midair. idk how to explain it any other way
