Up Close With the Kindle DX

LOVE the large DX, cant wait to get the new graphite DX for Christmas! YAY :) I have sony ereader and it is just too small for me. I like the feel and look of a larger size book! Love the dictionary too!

Boycott the amazon kindle for two reasons: crappy PDF ebook reader support and the outrageous price tag, it will be years before I give into this product which is currently unreasonable!

Here we are a year later and I'm wondering, what problems are you referring to with PDF support?  I haven't had any that wouldn't open and they're pretty easy to read. Sine I've had mine for just over a year, I can safely say the PDF support is about the same now as it was back then.

As for the price, I wasn't to bothered by it.

I love reading... and I have tons of ebooks... this is a perfect device for me. I think the smaller one seems reasonable for myself.. the larger one is way too large.

Hee! Like the baldy at the end "Tell me about this device". Can't say he looks lke he cares much. Just another day at the office. The larger size is for reading newspapers I suspect. I can imagine the company has been doing some hard talking with media outlets on this one.

bigger but lower resolution screen... I will pass. My kindle 1 is the best they have produced yet.

You can call me names but sadly the Kindle 1 and Kindle 2 have 167ppi, while the DX has 150ppi. That is smaller. Like your manhood.

there's a difference between ppi and resolution, the resolution of the dx is undoubtedly higher, however, in rtio to the size of the screen it has a lower ppi
