Who here actually played the arcade games (where this music is from) back in fall 1993, and 1994? I did. And I bought almost every home version except Japanese Dreamcast which has a trick to play the English lang. version with the bosses names swapped.. The PS2 version is the closest, there's a SSFIIT in a Capcom Collection as well as the Anniv. Ed.

It's the name of the arcade board that Super Street Fighter 2 ran on. It stands for Capcom Play System 2. It was used for SSF2, and the Alpha series as well has most of the versus series. CPS1 was used for the original Street Fighter 2 games. CPS3 was used for Street Fighter 3.

I think Max was just released on PSP, so I don't think it used Naomi at all. Upper used Naomi. That's why MAME can't run it.
