you're only supposed to use your index and thumb fingers, but they are supposed to be positioned at the top and bottom of the egg...meaning that would be the pointy end and the little round side just opposite of that...
the reason why it's impossible to crack an egg like that is because the arch on the top is concentrated to take the force you do to the egg. small area = more force, less area = more force. or were you trying to do the one palm way? cuz the force is equally distribute
