amp: gain 2, bass 4-5, contour/mid 3, treble 8.

i think hes playin in standard tuning and the backing track and original are a half step down in Eb

Wait a minute listeners! His guitar is not out of tune. He is bending the strings unnecessarily especially in areas where he shouldn't. I believe he was trying to move like Slash and as a result made alot of mistakes and occasionally was on the wrong key and note. I am not trying to criticise you but sometimes critisism improves a persons performance. i think you were over confidence before you started. My advice is relax, do some yoga and play till you get the knack. Goodluck!

At around 47 seconds I can clearly see he is NOT using his Neck pickup.  And if you are, Try turning your tone knob WAY down. Needs to be more bass sounding.

@gibsonlespaul2 actually slash for this solo uses both pickups, with the neck pick up tone completely closed ...

by the way some suggestions: reduce the gain, there is too much gain! Work on the bendings. Keep on practicing ;)

You're close to Slash's playing, but definately close to his tone. There's way too much gain. The playing is very good.
