Really appreciate you taking the time to put these succinct, informative, and USEFUL videos together. A big problem with a lot of first-aid/medical instruction is that it's either geared for the complete beginner or a doctor/nurse who not only has access to, but also the competency to use prescription drugs and surgical instruments.
Your no-nonsense approach, coupled with common sense and practicality make these videos incredibly valuable and I don't understand why you don't have 100k+ views!
I am respinr to your YOYO med. bag I know you are not finished,I noticed your chest decomp. kit did not have any small caths. for your son, also did you have or do you have any small NPAs , I like what what your doing and think the knowledge is awsome for the untrained/ lay person. Are you going to pot a BVM on board if so chech out narsecue,I see you have been there, also try the BOA constricting band, Iv'e used it to get a line on cardiac arrest pt. wish more people were selfreliant thanks
@selfreliant2009 Thanks for the note. I do have a couple of small NPAs. I do need a BVM, but there is a small one that rolls up and does not eat up space...I have not gotten my hands on one yet, though.
I would highly recommend that anyone who wants formal training on remote/austere medicine to take Wilderness First Responder. It is a week long, intense class that teaches you basically everything you can do in the wilderness, short of some advanced procedures. Anyone can take it and it provides real world training that would make a great complement this video series
Nice job. Thx for the info. I was doing some research about my sons type one diabetes and found the original method for deriving insulin from cow and pig pancreas. The story is rather fascinating to be honest. Regardless, do you believe this method is reproducible today?
Thanks you very much for these videos. I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into them. This information is so important and very hard to come by.
...always ready to learn as much as I can...when you talk - I listen. I live in an area where the local Red Cross representative won't hold the First aid class unless he has a 'certain' amount of people interested. There is little interest in it, so I scrounge for any first aid/ medical knowledge I can get, you and Patriot Nurse are high on my list, again thank you for sharing.

Wowza on the compartment syndrome, do they cover that with gauze/bandages etc while they have the skin open?? Also how do you stabilize the fracture while the skin is open, I assume you can't cast that.

Another quality video. Thanks for the links. Enjoyed your TSP interview, too.
