Question from an Asatruar: When do Muslims pray? I know they pray early in the morning, because I used to live near a Muslim neighbourhood and you could hear the call over loudspeakers about 8, 9 am.
Greetings LyubaAllenovna; the Muslims pray 5 different times every day.
The first Prayer of day is right before sunrise, the second prayer begins when sun declines from its zenith. the third prayer is in the afternoon. the fourth prayer is right after sunset, and the fifth prayer is at the night.
I HAVE QUESTION? IT SEEMS AS IF WE AFGHANS PRAY DIFFERENT. DURING MORNING WE PRAY BUT 4 RAKAATS AND ITS 2 FARZ AND 2 SUNT.THEN LUNCH WE PRAY 10 RAKAAT AND NOON 4 AND AFTER WE EAT 5 RAKAAT AND NIGHT WE PRAY 9RAKAAT

and in the wudu part 1 mouth and nose was washed together dont you have to wash mouth 3 times with right hand and nose 3 timer with left hand seperatly let me know if im wrong selams

No offence to your religion but i don't believe in islam but i have to study it at school for a test. I like the chanting at the begginging but thats it. I don't being in Allah or anything like that. I'm catholic and i believe in Jesus because he's my god and the orignal god but people decided to make their own relgions and thats their choice but that doesnt mean i have to respect it.

mmm not for the ones that are learning about islam, they can pray in their language UNTIL the learn the way of performing salat in ARbic, lets encourage the reverted muslims to love islam and no to make it hard for them(I am a Mexican muslim by the way, I turned to silam 4 years back)
Islam is really the most beautiful religion and the most truthful one, as a converted muslim, its been tough keeping up the praying, and i still cant manage to divide the prayers into different parts of the day, Allah knows i try. and he's frankly never let me down, since i converted to islam, as a catholic i never felt anythiong was there, and now i do. @Rebbie2012 You are 15, and converted to Islam? I'll be 18 in a few days, and I'm struggling. My Finace is in Kuwait, and he is trying his best to help me, but it's difficult for us right now. So far Islam is beautiful to me, it is not a religion, but a way of life. It makes me so happy to hear songs of prayer.

There is 'Ijmaa of the Muslims on this, with successors passing it on from the predecessors, along with authentic hadeeths which establish this..

@Mrnumber1star I feel the same my friend when I pray, I have a problem in the right knee. You should pray in a way that won't injury your knee and it's fine ok. The Solat is dynamic, you can pray in the way that fit your problem. Last week I saw an old man in the mosque praying, he was sitting on a chair and just moved his arms and back, becase he couldn't sit on the floor anymore or do any movement with his legs. If someone can't stand up, can pray on the bed too. Masalamah...

Salaam brothers and sisters, erm just a few questions.. One about the finger i have always read the shahada then fold the finger after reading that. there is no difference between the salah of a man and woman as Prophet(saw) said pray as you see me praying...and it refers to all..and as far as the sitting posture is concerned if you feel difficulty in sitting by erecting the right foot then you can put it at rest but if you try to sit like that then it is excellent..
well in that case do it in the way as you are able to do, and remember allah knows how capable are we, therefore one who cant stand allowed to pray sitting, one who cant sit this way is allowed to pray in what ever position he can sit, one who cant even sit is allowed to pray lying with gestures. afterall Allah knows every body's thoughts and intention and everybody will be awarded on his/her intentions not on capabilities.
Why does he never mention seeking protection in Allah from the Accursed Shayton? I've watched other videos on Prayer and they mention that they start by seeking Allah's protection from Shayton.

There are people that call the Subh prayer fajr but if so it would mean the prayer directly after the sunrise. The one before sunrise is a Sunnah mouakkada. It is the one that we stop eating during ramadan before sunrise. So there is a difference!
fajr is the beginning of the light that one may see in the horizon and before sunrise, this is where you need to pray the sunnah and the fard of fajr. as for fasting you can eat before the light appears on the horizon. some people make an error thinking you eat till sunrise.
how do you know what parts of the prayre is fard, mustahab, makruha, or what nullifies the prayre, the door of ijtihad is closed in these issues, ijtihad is only applied in new issues.
From what I've seen in these videos this is the Fard salat, according to sunnah there are many things according to sunna 2 that can be added to it but they are not on these videos. Also you should know that the prophet(SAW) prayed in different ways nd this 1 is a proper 1. by performing the prayer that way u'll inshallah avoid things almakhrouha.Ijtihad in salat is to add "of course what the prophete added by the permission of God" you can learn them after tbeing sure that u first know the base.

this is the demonsrtation on how to pray they have chosen the frads to keep it simple some sunnah are two rakaths and some are four as you konw . hope this clears the air , and yes we have to pray the sunnah salah as well .

I know ppl want to copy Muhammed pbuh but feel picky over "..sometimes he pointed his finger while looking at it, but other times, he didnt, and.." When he is demonstrating how to pray,it would have been a lot better if this man would have had his head covered. It is against the Sunnah to pray without covering the head except when someone is in the state of Ahraam. Our Prophet(SAWS) always covered his head during salaah all his life except in Ahraam and once due to some reason. Apart from that, he never ever prayed bare-headed and nor did his Sahaba(RA).

wa alaikum salam, yes there are different ways of pointing the finger the most correct one is keeping it straight from start to the end and the other is moving it up and down, but unfortunately the brother in the clip did not keep his finger directly straight as it should be
you will notice that ones that are recited aloud are the ones where the sun is not present, Allah knows best the wisdom behind it, maybe need to ask a shaikh
For a brother, clean clothes that cover from navel to knees. For sister, her normal hijab which covers every part of her body except her hands and face.
Also try using clothes that do not distract you from the prayer

ok im practicing so im learnig of what is being told and what i have been told is that morning it four rakat first 2 sunath and last 2 farz. then dhuhur. 4sunath, 4farz, 2sunat, 2nafal., then asr 4 sunat obilgatory and 4 farz. maghrib 3farz 2 sunath 2nafal, isha 4sunath obligatory 4farz 2 sunath 2nafal 3 wither, 2 nafal. at the end. and this is what i have been doing so how com the man is showing a short cut and why wud u althou i read long i still feel its not enough mor shud be aded

because they told in this vid what is VERS, the other parts are obligatory, if you want to pray hamdolillah. thats the sunnah of our prophet muhammed saw. but if you only read the rakaats like in the vid is told it´s not haram. but it´s haram to put more in the salah, it´s call bidah. And thats haram

is it obligatory to say rabbigh firli when you get up from sajdah?
secondly, in tashahud, after "allahuma salli ala muhammadin..." can you say something different from the one he said? I normally say "Allahumma Inni zalamtu nafsi zhulman katheeraw wala yaghfir udhunuba illa antal faghfirli maghfiratam min indika warhamni innaka antal ghafur ar raheem".

Salaam brothers and sisters, erm just a few questions.. One about the finger i have always read the shahada then fold the finger after reading that. Secondly i read that women raise their hands to their shoulders? thirdly women dont have to sit like that? i cant and have tried but get pins and needles down me leg, so is it okay for me not to fold the right foot as shown in the video? please can you give me proofs for your answers, jazahkallah khair :)

there is no difference between the salah of a man and woman as Prophet(saw) said pray as you see me praying...and it refers to all..and as far as the sitting posture is concerned if you feel difficulty in sitting by erecting the right foot then you can put it at rest but if you try to sit like that then it is excellent..

well in that case do it in the way as you are able to do, and remember allah knows how capable are we, therefore one who cant stand allowed to pray sitting, one who cant sit this way is allowed to pray in what ever position he can sit, one who cant even sit is allowed to pray lying with gestures. afterall Allah knows every body's thoughts and intention and everybody will be awarded on his/her intentions not on capabilities.

the way its presented we pray like that when an Imam is leading the prayer which is all farz and we all pray together in line, all the other rakaats should be prayed as well and they are all prayed individualy, sellam.

I thought that Fajr " before surise" salat was a sunnah ans Soubh right after the sunrise was the obligatory prayer. Am I right or wrong?

There are people that call the Subh prayer fajr but if so it would mean the prayer directly after the sunrise. The one before sunrise is a Sunnah mouakkada. It is the one that we stop eating during ramadan before sunrise. So there is a difference!

fajr is the beginning of the light that one may see in the horizon and before sunrise, this is where you need to pray the sunnah and the fard of fajr. as for fasting you can eat before the light appears on the horizon. some people make an error thinking you eat till sunrise.

how do you know what parts of the prayre is fard, mustahab, makruha, or what nullifies the prayre, the door of ijtihad is closed in these issues, ijtihad is only applied in new issues.

From what I've seen in these videos this is the Fard salat, according to sunnah there are many things according to sunna 2 that can be added to it but they are not on these videos. Also you should know that the prophet(SAW) prayed in different ways nd this 1 is a proper 1. by performing the prayer that way u'll inshallah avoid things almakhrouha.Ijtihad in salat is to add "of course what the prophete added by the permission of God" you can learn them after tbeing sure that u first know the base.

I wish it would mention fard and sunah prayers...as a new muslim i did not realize that there were difernt rakats....but by reading i learned...i wish it would mention fard and sunah rakats and amounts!

there may be variuos reasons, some may be because you are in the presence of your Creator. as you may have noticed that upon the variant movements there are words of praise, we Muslims clean ourselves before the payer and make sure that our prayers are conducted in the best manner possible as being in the presence of one that Created you is the least one can do to thank Him for all the blessings He has given us.

I'm probly gonna make some ppl angry, but I saw a VERY detailed demo of how to pray on Islamictube. I know ppl want to copy Muhammed pbuh but feel picky over "..sometimes he pointed his finger while looking at it, but other times, he didnt, and.." I understand he is the best role model, but I'm waiting to hear, "..and when a fly landed on his nose, he flicked it off with his 3rd fingernail on his left hand, or something. I'll bet I'm not the only one who feels like ppl take some things too far.

When he is demonstrating how to pray,it would have been a lot better if this man would have had his head covered. It is against the Sunnah to pray without covering the head except when someone is in the state of Ahraam. Our Prophet(SAWS) always covered his head during salaah all his life except in Ahraam and once due to some reason. Apart from that, he never ever prayed bare-headed and nor did his Sahaba(RA).

For a brother, clean clothes that cover from navel to knees. For sister, her normal hijab which covers every part of her body except her hands and face.
Also try using clothes that do not distract you from the prayer
