Besides, you get weirdo's in every house. Like Gilderoy Lockhart was in Ravenclaw and he's a fraud. Then you get dumb people in Slytherin (Crabbe and Goyle) and Slytherin is the house of ambitious, cunning, sly folk. And some people say Hufflepuff's are stupid.. Nymphadora Tonks, highly trained auror, extremely brave, stupid? I think not. You get a mix of everyone in each house, and there's not one stupid person in Hufflepuff. xD

Hufflepuff is the BEST house to my mind. They're loyal, patient, friendhsip is everything to them and they can do great things, they are just and like to work. They are excellent qualities.

Yellowandpinkgirl in one of the later books possibly Half Blood Prince, when Harry was knocled out on the train by Malfoy, Tonks found him and walked him up to Hogwarts, and pretty sure in that scene said she was in Hufflepuff. Either that or she said she was at the Dursely's.

herbology has a little to do with hufflepuff, because each house is geared towards a certain element: gryffindor = fire, ravencalw = wind, slytherin = water, and hufflepuff = earth. so while it's not an entirely important and deciding factor, like being loyal or hardworking, it does have a little bit of merit :) go puffs.
