The father can still be around and with the mother and the baby even though he is not married to her (duh). Nothing you stated indicated that black fathers abandon their children 70% of the time. You just ASSUMED that because the child is illegitimate, then the father must not be present. That is one fallacious argument lmao

There is a lot of dysfunctional families in black inner city areas.But that dysfunctionality is NOT cultural, but rather socieconomic. Family breakdown is directly correlated with socioeconomic factors. You should read the book "Myth of the Absent Black father" by Roberta Coles and Sean Green. I think a reform in inner city schools, a comprehensive history of black americans/black african contributions to the world, and a black grassroots level of community organizing and cultural awarness of issues facing some black people will do the trick

I'm from NYC and there a hundreds of acse of police brutality and 99% of them never get investigated. police, policing the police doesn't work. we need an independent investigator to deal with this. that's how gov Patterson got elected, he promised an independent investigator and he never kept his promise. the only way they get investigate is only if there is a witness to the crime the criminals, I mean nypd had committed. the best witness is a camera

They know that this is a murder case. The NYPD is just putting themselves above the law. This case should be taken to teh Supreme Court. Those cops should be indicted. Sean Bell's family have been fighting this corruption for about 3-4 years and no justice has happened.....

The evidence could have been tampered with or hidden from the court and the public.
Either way these dirty cops acted aggressively and use excessive force. Even though Sean bell had a criminal back ground they are using that background against his family.
