  • One correction, no one can be Pete Seeger. Enjoyed the video though! Thanks!

  • This is my favorite example of a long neck banjo.

Could you do "Clinch Mountain Backstep" on this banjo???

I'm really curious as to how it would sound. Thanks.

  • @TheARDENWOOD I'd love to, but I'm so far behind in playing requests that I really can make no promises... If I get a chance I will, but I am truly snowed under!

  • "You, too, can be Pete Seeger." I love it. Wonderful playing. Thumbs up to you and thanks for posting. :-)

  • Nice banjo, what is up picking up with index and down with other fingers?

  • Pete Seeger popularized this in his "How to Play the 5-String Banjo" book, calling it "a basic strum." It's easy, uses the same basic rhythm as clawhammer, and makes on-the-fly transition to a finger picking style easy. Some call it "Seeger-style," though many folks just call it "up-picking."

  • @gijoe44 up picking is god, and god was good!
