Who can fix one if it goes wrong, costs an arm and a leg to send back to dealer or icom. This is'nt amateur radio, just plug and play for the clueless who have too much money to spend on toys .. SAD !
The spectral display doesn't provide you much except eye candy..unless the signal is S-4 or so, it won't show on the display...I find most all spectral display radios to be useless in determining signals on the band...stick with a standard radio...
I do envy you. I also congratulate you as well. That is one fine radio. Until I get the ticket I suppose I am relegated to being a spectator, but I enjoy it just as much. There is something quite satisfying to hear signals from round the world, and knowing how they get there.
I hope maybe someday we cross electromagnetic paths!
@26BAT021 It really doesn't sound deaf the operator here just turned the noise reduction too far to the right. I'll try to post videos of my 7700. The audio is so sweet on transmit and receive. My Kenwood TS-850S is great but the 7700 is much better if that's saying something! :)
the spectrum thing really visualises the bands beautifuly, but the update rate of the spectrum screenn is still little slow though, hope iCom fixes that once I will be in the market for some of them, lol
