If you feel up to it you could always do a vid about the Polar Bear Challenge without it being an official entry. The idea is really about getting people to continue vlogging throughout the winter.
Well don't give up. Just a hardware five dollar thermometer is enough. Plus you are participating with us as part of the group. That was to whole idea behind it. I see a few people including Laurie making "unofficial" Polar Bear vlogs just for the fun of it. I am glad some of my Canadian friends are joining the challenge.
Making us all follow the rules is only fair. Hum, now that I said that I'll probably be the one you have to bump. LOL
Folks, if you need a thermometer, I just got a whole shipment of some of my special scientific Laylor thermometers. They are highly accurate and easy to read - They always read 19 degrees F. I'm selling them for $20 each. Chuck said as long as I give him half my profits he'd accept the readings on these. ;^)
BTW... I'm just kidding in case you didn't already know. LOL

This darn flu. I'm just getting over it today... and we get dumped on with 12 inches of snow! :-( This will put me behind in the challenge for probably the rest of this week. I need to let my body heal more, and I need to let the streets clear more.

You had no thermometer of any kind?
Even a cheap five dollar one will do or drive by a bank sign that gives the temp.
If you can't get something to use send me a pm and I will send you one first class mail.

I forgot and it hasnt actually been cold enough yet, seems our winter is ok at the moment :S Febuary is the coldest.

For me personally, I cant guarantee that my iPhone reading is correct as I cant prove where the weather station is that records the temperature.
Regardless, I think the temps are going to be warming up here and I doubt I'd be able to make more than 2 rides anyway :)
