Foleo project rocks even three years later! Don't think i would like WebOS with the current development state (lack of multitude of apps) but i would certainly think about dual-boot device with WebOS/Ubuntu. They should make both Foleo2 smartbook & tablet!!

That's one of the problems with this proposed product: The price point was simply stupid. They were going to sell at about $350-450 if memory serves me.

And now we all know that the Asus eee and every other netbook is sold at $300 or so.

Nice idea, the Foleo, but price was out of this world.

I hear a new Palm phone will drop soon.

@loudstone price point was higher but not stupid. This is a unique OS, with ideally great hardware construction. People are happy to pay more for apple products for the same reason. Same with a Mercedes. etc.

Yes a long time ago, they have scrapped the project as netbooks are far more powerful and the price differed a few bucks, mainly the memory aspect. Net books had the same desgin and function as palm folio plus so much more! It was good if it was released a few years back, like 4 :P

you guys are retarted, your missing the point with this product, its to give ur mobile device a bigger screen and keyboard, and it does alot of other things that laptops could do but its way smaller and lighter and is easier to carry around, i would deffinetly buy this product

THIS THING IS GAY. 600$ for email and view pictures and pdf files?? heard of the iphone does all that and is touch screen. this would have been "cool" 5 years ago. 200mhz.. wow.. i have one word to say. EEEpc. "there is no like.. desktop" LOL..

Why not just put a cell chip in there, and I'll use my BT headset and leave the Treo at home half the time? My Treo use is 90% data anyway, then listening to the occasional voicemail or making a quick call. ;-)

i like it, its not a tiny as a pda but its not as big and heavy as notebook pc,i think the price will seal its fate.
