BWV 140 is an all time favorite, fun to sing, (tenor), fun to play (1st oboe) and to perform (Cothen). Excellent interpretation, too bad it's incomplete!!

The Chancel Choir of Grace Covenent Presbyterian Church of Asheville,NC is performing the Bach Cantata BWV 140 on Sunday, December 7 at both the 8:30 and 11 AM services. Music Director Barry Oliver will conduct with orchestra.Soloists are Aaron Snurbursh, Tenor, Jonathan Ross, baritone and Ruth Nicholson. Aaron and Jonathan are church members and professional singers. Ruth just joined the choir this fall and has the voice of an angel.Visit Asheville that weekend attend one of the services.

The Chancel Choir of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church of Asheville,NC is presenting the cantata on Sunday, December 7 in both worship services - 8:30 and 11 AM - 2nd Sunday of Advent. The church's music director, Barry Oliver, will conduct - with soloists and orchestra. I don't know yet who the soloists are but will post as soon as I do. Come to Asheville that weekend and attend. You will receive a blessing from the music.
