Does Civ4 let you detach a unit from an army so that you can replace it with another unit ?

In previous versions it didn't. It was a shame to disband an obsolete army and lose a perfectly good leader.

@SquidofNot in my civilization 5 game im the japanese and i have artillery while the rest have longswordsmen :P my score is like 1000 something while evryone else is 200 something
