Cool video. I'd been planing on doing something like this myself, but can see you've beaten me to it by a good few years! I may still give it a go....
the japanese ce daytona on saturn has original music and better controls than usa and pal version, although not as good as original in terms of gameplay but of course a lot better in graphics
From what I can remember the only differences between the Japanese CE and the American/European CE is that the Japanese version includes both the new and original versions of the music, and that the handling in the JP CE is similar to that of the original Daytona.
@M4R14NO94 The music from the original Daytona isn't in there. Maybe a messed up arranged version of it is (don't recall), but not as it exists in the original Saturn version or this video.
@Joeredother It is, only that it's the music from the original arcade version of Daytona instead of the arranged music from the previous port. I think it's also like that on the Dreamcast Daytona.
@Joeredother the original daytona music and arcade music is the same and they are in daytona usa and daytona usa ce, but not in cce. also they are in dreamcast version I think, but I think they may have changed it a little there I don't exactly recall
@pablopares I can't really disagree with that assessment, but there are some 3D games that look pretty good when you take into consideration the piss-poor 3D technology they were using. In 2D, however, games of that generation were superb. I wish there were more of them but the public demanded that everything be in 3D, just like today.
@Joeredother I have the three systems, and I love a lot of games (Star Fox 64, Wipeout, Crash Bandicoot, Panzer Dragoon, Perfect Dark, etc)... But I think that 3D should arrive to the home market a couple of years later...

@M4R14NO94 That may be the case, but I thought the arcade sounded HORRIBLE.

DC version is frame rate 60 per second. SS version was only 15 frame poor.

Saturn, PSX and N64 are garbage.... Like the Atari for 2D.

Wow the Saturn CCE looks fantastic compared to the original Saturn version! Looks way better than any PlayStation racer I've seen.
