You're right that it is the tenderest English song I know, and I do know a few. Don McLean (the author) does it at least as well as this cover. Probably better. I stumbled on him in a fair in England. Superb singer, songwriter. Of course, his song speaks to Vincent Van Gogh's gentle heart; he never found appreciation in his life. Not uncommon to not be appreciated, I'm afraid. Perhaps that's the hopeful lesson that comes from the minds of these two great artists. Appreciate those who care

Hi mbf: I wonder if you have her Angels, Roses and Rain. I have lost thrown away 2 mouldy Chyi's casette tapes...sigh.

Search youtube--there's lyrics but no song of ARR. I notice many songs in her tape, "Whoever finds this, I love you" have not been not posted. It wld be interesting to hear her duet with Michelle Pan on "Make no mistake, he's mine" --sound like a catfight!!!
