  • He's from D.C.? his accent is a little too southern sounding for D.C.

  • So why are American gun owners sitting this election out? Do they think this Supreme Court decision is going to protect them against Obama and Biden, with a Democrat Congress?

Obama has already promised the Brady group that he will "continue their fight as President," and Biden has already introduced S.2237 to renew the Clinton semi-auto ban, with even tighter restrictions on semi-auto pistols.

If we sit on our asses for this election, we'll get a screwing - that we'll deserve!

    Get involved.

  • God bless you for what you are doing. It's very important and I'm glad to see these videos on youtube. Bob Bar '08!!!!!!!!

  • I am absolutely appalled by the fact that 4 justices ruled against the 2nd amendment. Congress should petition for removal of these justices. If Barak Hussein Osama gets voted in we may just get another communist justice, and God help us then. That vote should have been 9-0 in favor of the 2nd amendment.

  • Any person who is against your right to protect your self with a firearm is someone who supports groups like NAMBLA.

  • Amen brother!!!! DC Vs Heller was won today!!!

  • Well said, sir

  • I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6, those commie bastards will never get my guns....

  • Big man with his guns.

  • Tell that to John Browning. He was a big man because of his guns.

We might not have won WWII without his guns.

  • Excuse me, a PUSSY with guns.

  • You don't own any guns? Please post a sign that says that on your house so every criminal with a gun or 21" biceps can know that it is safe to waltz right into your house and do whatever they feel like doing, lol I am a big dude,if there were no guns what would stop me from just roaming the earth looking for people to prey upon?Criminals say it's the idea that someone they run into MIGHT have a gun, universally predators prefer unarmed victims.I am armed,my wife is armed,my kids will be armed..

  • I'm a very proud owner of a very custom AK-47 and Mossberg 500 Talo.

I keep my guns at home where they belong unless I go out to a range or the woods.

I'm a life time member of the NRA, and excuse me if I think some areas in our country shouldn't have handguns.

  • The 2A isn't about your ability to play with your gun collection in the woods,it's about the defense of state's and personal freedom according to the writings of almost every framer of the constitution. You have no constitutional right to a gun collection but you do have a right to armed self defense and now SCOTUS finally followed the framers and reaffirmed that right.Everywhere CCW has been reintroduced after 90+ years of fascist restriction has experienced a drop in crime against individuals

  • Really ?

  • Excellent points.

I also worry about how they rule on this.

Barrack Obama says he believes in the 2nd amendment being an individual right but he has no problem with what he calls the "right" of the local governments to pass "reasonable" restrictins on it.

In other words, we could "win" this case but DC residents could still be prevented from using firearms for self defense.

If DC politicians create enough "resonable" hurdles for gun ownership they will in effect be banning gun ownership.

  • About balance in The Force it is young Padawan learners. The 2nd Amendment was designed as a "check" against government abuse of its powers in general. Its a fail safe mechanism built in to our American society to make the government fear the people that they are suppose to serve. Hence machine guns and yes even rocket launchers should be legal to posses according to this sacred right if only to preserve government healthy fear of the people.

  • Law or no Law, I'm pro gun till death. Even if a bench of judges find that they can in fact further limit our right, that are already over restricted the American spirit will prevail.

  • Thanks for the link. Yes, I'm familiar with the laws and prices of machineguns. Unfortunately, having one also means the BATFE can do a no-warrant search at any time.

    PatriotMusicMatt

  • The people that I have talked to about Machineguns and SBR's (Short Barreled Rifles) say that the BATFE, if they wanted to check if you still posses the machinegun or SBR, they would call you to set up a meeting at your convenience.

They haven't heard of anyone having the men in black bust down their door searching the house.

The biggest inconvenience is if you take the firearm out of state you have to give the BATFE your itinerary.

  • The only laws that need to be in place in regards to firearms should consist of Crimes commited with firearms and irrisponcible use and handling.

The gun owner/user should be held accountable.

You should be able to own what ever firearm you want to own, just don't do anything stupid with it.

I also feel the 2nd Amendment delt only with Firearms and not Tanks, Rocket Launchers, and other destructive devices because I heard the Justices talk about arms in the same liniage as the arms back then.

  • They also said that the arms were in common use by the Military. Machineguns (i.e. M16, M60, S.A.W., and Browning .50) are commonly used by our Military today.

  • Apparently you aren't very familiar since they can't do un-warranted searches.

  • What's your source for the statistics that only 2 people were killed by registered full-auto weapons since the NFA? That's valuable info. (And I agree NFA is blatantly unconstitutional)

Side note: Police are civilians too; Making the distinction is important to avoid an "us vs. them" mentality. In China they're not, but here, all agencies not in the four military branches are still civilians with the same rights, and subject to the same restrictions.

  • guncite dot com (no spaces)

Although the Police are civilians, the people in that line of work and the Military are the only ones that can purchase new machineguns.

You and I have to purchase machineguns that were built before the ban went into effect.

In short machineguns cost in the $18,000 and up range. Before the ban they were more affordable.

I hope the link helps you.

  • Look under "Full Auto Weapons"

  • There are 240,000 machine guns registered with the BATF.

Since 1934, there appear to have been at least two homicides committed with legally owned automatic weapons. One was a murder committed by a law enforcement officer (as opposed to a civilian). The 1986 'ban' on sales of new machine guns does not apply to purchases by law enforcement or government agencies.

  • I feel that lawful citizens should be able to own these weapons but the Supreme Court doesn't want to have the National Firearms Act overturned.

We will have to wait and see what the final outcome will be.

  • Federal, State, and Local Governments have powers.

    The People have Rights.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I feel that the format given for the lawyers to plead the case to the Justices was very formal.

I think that when they came to the questions about "Shall not be infringed" vs. "Reasonable Infringement" the lawyers made the point that it depended on what reasonable meant.

  • I feel the Justices asked this because of how the current laws regarding machineguns require special permission from the U.S. Treasury Department. Machine guns are subject to a $200 tax every time their ownership changes from one federally registered owner to another, each new weapon is subject to a manufacturing tax when it is made, and it must be registered with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) in its National Firearms Registry.

  • Since the Firearms Owners' Protection Act of May 19, 1986, ownership of newly manufactured machine guns has been prohibited to civilians. Machine guns which were manufactured prior to the Act's passage are regulated under the National Firearms Act, but those manufactured after the ban cannot ordinarily be sold to or owned by civilians.

I feel this Act is Unconstitutional and could be overturned.

All this Act did was make the price of the Machineguns go up.
