  • YEEEEEESSS!!!

  • Comment removed

  • EPIC

  • EPIC!!! I love this, I'm going to learn the text,

  • Lol

  • LOOOL Love this!! :)

  • I googled 'periodic table' for reference for an assignment im writing, its been about an hour and all ive done is watch amusing physics youtube videos, dammit!

  • @02pattersonp that same thing just happened to me.

  • @02pattersonp Maybe this is pedantic, or maybe your comment isn't even relevant to this video, but ... Physics? This is a Philosophy joke.

  • @Ultermarto

I googled 'periodic table' and this was one of several videos that came up in the search results. Or maybe it was a related video to a physics one, either way yes you are being a tad pedantic

  • hahahahaahahha soo funny...

  • So funny!

  • /watch?v=6QgCfnBtF7M

  • Sung this in first year philosophy. Great memories.

  • Hahahaha I'm English I'd rather the maid weed lol

  • This song plays a continuous loop in my head all through philosophy class :)

  • boing!

  • pissed could refer to BOTH being drunk AND being angry as some people do make particularly bad drunks, picking fights with strangers, and smashing stuff up.

Socrates might have been like that. Knocking arms off statues and such.

  • @FlamingoKicker "Knocking arms off statues and such." ... NICE!!!

  • @FlamingoKicker Socrates was an angry man, he always bugged people with hard filosophical questions, and he always was angry at the sofists. I don't know if he was a drunk, but maybe he knocked arms off statues, maybe that's why the Venus of Milo doesn't have arms, such as other late-Gothic statues

  • I couldn't have gotten through a baccalaureate in philosophy years ago without this song! Many thanks to the Monty Python Group for the great memories.

  • Thank you Monty Python, philosophy finally makes sense. LOL

  • Bibo ergo sum...

    Words to live by.

  • LMFAO "John Stuart Mill of his own free will"

  • "could DRINK you under the table"

  • What does "raising of the wrist" mean?

  • @TheDavid2222 when you lift a pint of beer up, you are raising your wrist and shows a strong wrist to hold the pinat

  • Pissed = drunk not angry

    (in this song anyway)

  • the one person who disliked this is mormon

  • John Stuart Mill of his own free will. lol

  • This video has been featured at goddrinksbeer.

    com

  • is that an actual Monty Python song??? Where does it come from ?????

  • The "I drink therefore I am" bit is funny. But the rest of the song is in poor taste. Monty Python's done much more clever stuff, among others notably the philosophers' football match scene. :)

  • it is Nietzsche, not Nietzche.

I love most: Heidegger could think you under the table :)

  • oh pissed means drunk.... damn brits jk

  • @ZuKahta "Leave it to Americans to think that "no" means yes, "pissed" means angry, and "curse word" means something other than a word that's cursed!" :P

  • @RigorMortisRabbit

oh so the English think you can curse words

and i'm not sure where you are getting the no and yes part

  • @ZuKahta lolz, its a quote from pouth park, the one called "it hits the fan" once u've twiged the context im pretty sure ur'll see the funny side :P

  • @RigorMortisRabbit oh, ok.

wow it's been a while since i've watched south park.

  • LOL i have an exam philosophy tomorrow xD

  • @fulllead what a coincidence, so do I (4 months later than you) .BTW Did you pass yours?

  • @waterloo13

    yea; 10/20 ( that's enough i guess :D)

I hope you do an even better exam as i did :D

  • In this song pissed = drunk, not angry.

  • Brilliant, cleverly amusing.

  • I'm pretty sure being a drunk is a prerequisite for being a philosopher.

  • @TheHomelessCripple yea there's even a class for it that you need to pass to get your Major in philosophy

  • @doctorwhom1 I didn't find that class yet...I bet they're gonna tell us just before the final exam, so that we don't take it over and over again. ;)

  • Wonderbar

  • watch?v=s1MgCV6uGuc&NR=1

  • one of the hightlights of monty python!

  • God, I just wanna drink and sing this. What a good time that would be. All Philosophers welcome.

  • pissed means drunk not angry... other than that, well done!

  • Ah, a higher class of comedy. And, it's amazing how catchy this song is! I've been playing it on repeat on my iPod all week!

  • dang Mill...

  • This is the VERY BEST of the videos available for this song... I have the lyrics memorized too...

  • LOL

  • I have my philosophy exam in bout 4 hours from now and I have been cursing all those old naggers the past days but this really made my day! XD If I know nothing to write down I shall write one of those. XP

  • very good vid

  • lol

  • best one out of the videos available for this song ... I like that it includes both pictures of each philosopher (animated no less), as well as subtitles

  • lolol I find the Descartes part hilarious..."I drink therefore I am"

  • @sbrunell777 It was the lamest part.

  • @sbrunell777 You only liked it because it was the only philosopher you knew.

  • @LibertyWaxlips That is absolutely true. I mean Socrates and Plato??? Every layman on earth is cognisant of these two men, and somehow I am completely ignorant of their existence in your mind. Why you chose to reply to my comment in such a manner I will never quite understand.

  • @sbrunell777 Fuck you then little cunt.

  • @LibertyWaxlips :) I love you too!!!

  • Good job! I notice you give Socrates furrowed eyebrows to indicate "pissed," which shows the American rather than British sense of the term, angry instead of drunk. It's a nice pun.

  • @brian423 Hear, hear.

  • @brian423 Thank you, I wondered why Socrates was angry for no apparent reason XD

  • @brian423 "pissed" means angry AND drunk in Britain dude =D

  • @Mattelliott1234 I stand half-corrected. Thanks for the information.

  • @Mattelliott1234

Actually, in Britain "pissed" only means drunk. Angry is "pissed off".

  • @muur1ch yeah i guess, but if you're looking angry and you go MAN IM PISSED, kinda means the same thing you know?

  • @muur1ch In america we say "He's looks pissed!" Which also means pissed off but it works both ways ^_^

  • wow that was great ryan...

  • I'm watching this, over and over, just for you, Ryan. Lol. Love ya, boy... :-)
