  • More french songs! they help me learn so much!

  • Lyrics are.... strange but I like this song. We, French, love you ;-)

  • Lyrics SVP! J'adore!

    Levi

  • ... oui oui

  • Pirrouette of vainity. Qui.

Not even sleeping in churchyards slows it a tiny bit.

    Twirlying endlessly.

  • ya know jack acts like shaycarl.....dunno maybe it's just me

  • Damn I wish I spoke French

  • I'm french and the beginning don't mean nothing.

It's D'une ville and not dune ville.

Ps: sorry for my bad level in your language ;/

  • @vladdu59 I'm Brazilian, and your comment don't mean nothing =)

    p.s. I forgive you.

  • FRENCH LITERATURE?! ....This made me love you even more. <3

  • Why have I overlooked this all these years?

  • Ill have you know that is song is the reigning champ on Itunes 25 most played playlist. The current score is 36

  • Favorite Pomplamoose song. Something about guitar and Nat's smexy french really works.

  • SQUIRREL ! SQUIRREL !

I don't even speak french.

  • Bravo !

  • So, what was the quote from Up?

  • I love how this video ended... hahah "what do you mean?" He sounded so confused

  • @caboosukin i think he said "oui oui"

  • I love this song!

  • This song needs more exposure, ... guys.

  • Is there a location from which I can buy this glorious song?

  • @spamman888 description box

  • La musique est fantastique!

  • Plus chansons en français, okay!

  • Je suis faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnn !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tres bien

Would be a great idea :)

  • The melody in this song sounds completely timeless. Like a folk song passed down for generations. In fact, I was sort of surprised that it's original. I can't get it out of my head. A brilliant piece of work.

I know this is less poppy than most of their stuff and it's in french so it's less popular on youtube, but it's definitely one of their best.

  • More french songs plz!!!! *___*

  • l ove you Nataly from Mexique

  • beautiful (tres beau?) in any language

  • Natalie !

  • So glad this one's not as popular as the others. You avoid the haters and trolls that way. I'm friggin' seething with rage at their idiotic slights over here.

  • @JonieAuthor2b Just ignore the trolls! They're generally people who feel very insignificant and have very low self-esteem, so they try to build themselves up by putting down successful and creative people (which trolls aren't). I'm a musician, and I love these guys. They're innovative and fun. A breath of fresh air. I came from a generation where uniqueness and innovation were rewarded (the '60s). Glad to see its starting to happen again, after too many years of music moguls.

  • So beautiful. She sounds like Yael Naim.

  • Awesome.

  • I love how in the tags it says "pamplemousse."

    :)

  • Oh god, I've listened to this song forever but only now do I read the English lyrics <3 So beautiful. I love you, Nataly.

  • This is hot!

  • i saw it!

  • i love you guys, but your endless conversations at the end of the videos are extremely boring.

  • @alix92410 you do know you can just not watch the end right?

  • Just a question . You're Canadian aren't you ? Your english is perfect , et votre français aussi . Oo

  • say the same amigo!! XD

  • Damn guys!!!! you really make me feel something strange inside!!!! you are awesome!!!! here a musician fan from Mexico!!!

  • MERCI BEAUCOUP POUR CETTE CHANSONE

  • TEE HEE lovee itt (:

  • At last! I love these two!!.....he's such a passionate dude and she's a total total babe...they have no idea how fantastic their music collaboration is!!.....

Bises ! And thank you again!

  • This is so so beautiful. I am so touched and inspired by every single one of your creations!

  • check out my music! ill post more soo. my cpu is being crazy but i have like 5 songs recorded. <3 love you guys!

  • i juz love this couple!!! luv u!!

  • When she sings in french my back gets goose bumps in a good way :D

  • Am I seriously the only one that think this song sounds a bit sad and not as relaxing..???

  • They've achieved an whole new level of artistry with this song. Thanks guys!

  • please dont give up on your music. i really miss it, and your voice is perfect. im not the type of person that is interested in listening to vocals unless it catches me. i normally listen to the instruments in a song rather than the vocalist. Circa Survive is my favorite band becuz he has an AMAZING voice. and your voice is one of few that calms me down.

  • Funny thing, Nataly's voice is clearer than many actual french "modern" singers! The melody and the lyrics are very nice to listen:)

I didn't believe it until now, when foreigners tell me that french sounds cute! ~haha

Like someone said, this brings peace to the mind after school, on the way back home (they should air this song in the parisian métros/trains!).

Live performance in Paris someday? :)

Thank you guys for the good music, and hello from France :)

  • Also greetings from Greece! You are perfect! Et aussi j aimait beaucoup le chanson!!! I am waiting for a new one soon (I hope) .

    Thanks for the great music!

i really like when americans speak french. Especially women! Their accent is wonderful!

  • SQUIRREL!!! looooool loved the song, the vid and the film (up) :D

I'm glad for having found (?) your beautiful voice singing in french and of course your fantastic band. I hope there will be a lot of new videos of you !

  • Awesome. I love the song. Great French lesson too!

  • wow..im not new to their music...but she is REALLY good

  • That's nothing... I can play my guitar in french.

  • What some fantastic videos/musics you are doing! It's so fresh! I just discovered your work, that's really nice!

    Greetings from France

    Franck

  • muy bueno!!!!

  • i showed this vid to my french teacher (used to work in france, married a french guy, goes there all the time) and she had wonderful thing to say about your accent =] she also said it was "tres joli." just fyi! wonderful vid.

  • The last jack face is hilarious.

    Before saying "oui oui".

    Pomplamoose = (L)

  • i saw the squirrel!

  • Just beautiful!

  • this is the best one.

  • @RootGuy123 really?!?!? thats awesome! do you know where i can download their songs?

  • i wish you had songs on itunes or mp3 :( you are so good.... GR.

  • they do.

  • @hyperactivemonkey95 They do.

  • C'est de vous?

  • very good

  • nataly went to france when she was ten. i don't think she's from there.

  • perdy

  • look at me. I'm comment 501 yay

  • Can anyone spot what kind of Neumann mic that is? Great production, great song, great voice...gorgeous girl.

  • @intrsoul Indeed, I am always watching their mics, learning which one I should buy

  • @belovedconsole I believe it's a Neumann TLM 103. They go for about $700 used. I'm combing eBay now ;-) Jack should really do a 'gear for geeks' page.

  • @intrsoul agreed for the geek page! haha

  • @mouldeck There you have it Jack! At least TWO people would love a page detailing your gear and recording techniques. Surely you can spare a few minutes to whip something up ;-)

  • @intrsoul just... maybe he could spare us the harm of telling how much he spent on everything! because apparently, from what i read, he's the "f*cking-good-deals" guy!

  • @intrsoul make that three!

  • @intrsoul agreed!

  • why don't you use any apostrophes in your lyrics? you use a lot of contractions. for example: dune=d'une.

  • The same reason that people who speak english dont always add the apostrophe to contractions. How often do you see "Im" "dont" "cant" "wont" "havent" etc written as so? Well to answer it happens quite often, its not proper but who said all french has to be as well. They like to drop apostrophes, and change up spelling of words, and even drop words quite often in informal written, or spoken speach.

  • Is this an original song?? It's so incredible....I love it so much.

  • You guys should do a cover of Camille's "Le Festin". I'm sure that you can find ways to make it sound uniquely pomplamoosish :)

  • Reminds me of Joan D'Arc...

  • Vraiment impressionnant on entend à peine l'accent :)

  • I love it when natalie sings in french!!

  • very pretty :D

  • I. Am.

    SMITTEN.

    With this song.

And SO sad that it's not on your Pomplamoose album on iTunes. I bought it regardless though.

  • haaaaahahahahaha

    "ohh!! that was a squirrel!!!"

i love how you guys freak out both times... apparently you don't see many squirrels around there?

  • your guys's high school french classes must have been much better than mine i took one year and i couldn't get any of this - beautiful sounds though

  • I'm pretty sure Nataly went to college for French. haha

  • yeah they said in another video that she got a masters in french literature

  • she also lived in France for a while when she was a little kid

  • lol, high school? I'm pretty sure they said just just finished getting her Masters in French Literature.

  • Lol yea

  • I think Natalie used to live in France when she was younger explaining her proficiency in the French language...

  • yup. She moved there when she was ten.

  • Surprisingly, I understand a lot of this song.

haha two years of high school french.

    (:

  • yOu guys! Your music has a very special sound, that I love so much :)

  • You guys are so awesome. You make this amazing music, you quote my favourite movie. Jeeesus christ.

  • So..thanks to high school french I was able to understand 5 or 6 words BUT I don't even care..your voice is so amazing that I would listen to you sing anything :)

  • i love you guys already, but i'm a sucker for anything with a soothing accordion line :)

  • Beautiful, just perfect. Kapai

  • i love this song! would you mind sharing the guitar tabs with me?

  • ecureuil it is:)

Thanks for the lovely music :)

  • your're genious!!!!

  • I listen to this song everyday when I come home from stressful school & every night I come home from stressful work. It's so calming and Natalie's voice combined with jack's guitar just envelopes me in a blanket of peace. I love you guys. you give me a reason to wake up in the morning =]

  • love love love love love love love this song.

  • @Brainstrain91 l'éccureil, I think?

I'm in french two, and we learned this a while ago, but I think I spelled it wrong. XD

  • wow i love this song where can i buy it pleaseeee!!!

  • You can buy it at myspace,com/pomplamoosemusic ;)

  • this video doesn't have as much energy as the rest of their videos.

    But still it's AWESOME

  • you both are ok :)

  • Awesome as always

  • Nataly, Congrats on your Masters! My husband just got his in English, he's from Mexico. I can imagine how hard you've been working. Thanks for the new song! You two are my favorite.

  • you guys are awesome =)

  • SQUIRRELS!!!!!! JAJAJAJAJAJAJ <3

UP is my favorite pixar film!!

  • J'aime. Parle an Francias?

  • I love that you guys both get so excited about a squirrel at the same time. I am the same way about squirrels.

  • love it. you two are cute

  • Nataly, you have zero accent when you sing French! I wonder if you have an accent when you speak (cuz that is not uncommon, to not have an accent when singing but to have one when speaking)

  • boo - i hate the verb suivre. i was so confused until i finally allowed myself to read the english lyrics.

  • what's wrong with it ? you can't read it or... ?

  • from this line: Je suis le commun des mortels

    je suis means...

    1) i am OR 2) i follow

(omg, if it means something else, imma cry)

so when i read the the english lyrics, it shows that suis = follow. but i thought the writer of the song was using suis = am.

another reason why i should start studying francais again. =)

  • oh right i forgot that. i'm so accustomed to it that i don't even remember that xD

but when it means I am it's the verb être, y'know ?

hooray for french, a soooo simple language =D xD

  • Very pretty song. Thank you!

  • You speak French better than I do, and I am a native French speaker :) Well, Nataly does. I heard Jack on the La Vie En Rose track. He speak good Italian for someone who tries to speak French.

  • super, mais vous parlez français alors? pourquoi je m'embete à parler anglais!!! allez quand même au cas où! you are amazing continu please, again and again, encore !!!!!
