No one says the people were following Hitler blindly. I believe it is wrong to think that the German peoples were bloodthirsty idiots. When Hitler was originally elected the people wanted a new government. They were desperate, there was poverty, starvation, the economic downfall..the debt. Hitler came, gave them promises and they followed him in belief. Once he came to power he became a dictator and from then on the people had little to say. Although some, really did follow him so.
