i'm a minority at SLU, and would like to disagree with mm89f. i've never faced any discrimination whatsoever, and i'm from a lower socio-economic bracket than most of my friends. ultimately, visit SLU to see if it's a good fit.

You better be pretty well off if you plan on attending this school. And if you're a person of color, hopefully you have thick skin. In my opinion this school is not welcoming to minorities or lower income students, be prepared for disgusting looks and being ignored if you fit into these two categories.
