  • @king40796 i'd say do each exercise at around 3 sets each totalling to about 15 i find personally cause im not as strong as the hodge twins yet im im pretty much a young newbie though im a heavy newbie with less than 10% bf at 198lbs 6 foot 3 inches im going for the aestethically pleasing looking more so than the athletic look i find 12 sets doesn't get me as sore as doing a 15 set workout as i get progressively stronger i may find that 12 feels better just find what works for u

    sorry mate but I have not seen jay in unproper form.The father of the Gym Form is "Dorian Yates" in my opinion.But the thing I was trying to underline is,the kid is just not capable of pressing 100 lbs dumbbels on inc. bench stand.The most important point is the form and intensity of workout.I'm about 105 KG and have 43cm arm size but I'm not benching over 30 KG Dumbbells.You may also think different,that's my thought.

  • @king40796 lol just beacuse the hodge twins says its too much it doesnt not necessarily means it stoo much. there are lots of body builders who do this many sets as well and get great gains. all the olympia contenders do. and it might seem like over training, depends on the person. some ppl need more sets to stimulate their chest more, some ppl need less because they will end up over traning and cant recover fast enough.

  • @king40796 The Hodge twins don't know what the F#@K they're talking about first of all. Second, I agree that this is way too many sets of the same exercise. 25 sets is not bad as long as you're doing different exercises or different angles.

  • People are always trying to convince me that flys are stupid, and heres a beast doing 10+ sets of them. Do you believe in more press or fly excersizes on chest day?

  • @BloodandRainbows I use heavy weights when I do the decline flys so i'm using it as a building exercise and i use lighter weights for the other flys cuz they cause more stress on the outer edges of the muscle and allow for a better "squeeze" at the complete contraction... a good balance of both is always gonna be best for most people
