  • The Lake was refilled by Memorial Day of 2009. There is now a nice view of Lake Delton from Highway A and where those unfortunate people lost their homes there is now a picnic area, one of few public areas on the Lake.

  • @lennydells I went swimming in Lake Delton this summer...good to know that lake filled up....just could not imagine being on the lake when it happened

  • It's Bush's fault!

  • i stop the rain I'm Delton

  • Well, Highway A has been rebuilt already. They had at people working almost around the clock, shutting the lights off at about 3 or 4am until the morning crew came in at dawn. They hope to have the lake refilled a short time after winter. We will see. If we get as much snow is predicted for this winter it might not take too much to fill it after the melt off :)

  • i live in milwaukee and i go up 2 wi dells at least 5 times each year and i go 2 lake delton at least 1 of those times and when i heard about this i was really sad and amazed at the same time. :( i couldnt believe this. just thank god that no one was hurt or killed.

  • The real truth may never come out ... but Chicago's Mayor Daley snuck over the WI boarder in the middle of the night while everybody was sleeping and pulled the plug on Lake Delton. Why, you ask? O'hare expansion.

  • i nvr thought something lyk this would happen.

i was there on the upper and lower boat trip things a week b4 that too for the first time for a field trip.

  • Never thought I would here someone say thank god for that.

  • sooo glad i live in green bay.

we didnt get like any flooding.

    thank god.

  • i was there today. there is one little stream running through it but it is pretty much empty

  • thanks for sending me the video! to the rest told yall that there was going to be floods and damages with weather destroying everything do you still doubt? are you going to be stubborn like pharroh

  • thxs for the thumbs down the truth always hurts but its the fact.wakeup.watch and read more.u will see.

  • May God watch over you as you try and recover from this disaster. This area will come back again - just believe! Good luck!

  • Yes...sadness for sure, I live fairly close.

  • Great Production. I've been Visiting the Dells for over 20 years, and I'll be there in a month. I often go down to the Lake to get Away from my getaway. I'd some day like to own a Home on Lake Delton. That Video of the House falling into the Lake doesn't help my cause with my wife. My heart goes out to the people who lost their homes and property. I'm SO glad that this disaster didn't become deadly. you can always re-build. a Home. God bless

  • Very well done video....good choice of music....post more videos please.

  • very good video! are they running any discounts on the duck tours now?

  • Nope, the ducks have to pay the same as all other 2-legged creatures.

  • Check out Madison TV Channel 3 News website-their are amatuer photos taken in a sequence of Mother Nature creating it's own new channel and washing away tons and tons of soil and several houses.

The sheer power of the water is unbelieveable.

Man is pretty helpless against mother natures fury.

  • I have stayed @ Sandy Beach Resort on the lakefront for 22 straight years. July 19th was our scheduled date for this year.I'm a 60 year old man near tears when I see the devastation. I have often walked past that stretch of County A to get to Port Vista.

Good job on the video, good choice of music, it's from my era.

  • County Highway A in Lake Delton is finished and traffic will be crossing it soon, if it isn't already. They hope to have the lake filled before summer.

  • Very well done. Great photos. I specialy like the low tide sign.

  • sad to see all the damage there but have to wonder when will people stop building so close to the lakes and rivers how many times will there housees fall before they stop look at all them houses along the missippi river flooding again.

  • For many homes built on hurricane prone coastlines or low lying floodplains that have been repeatedly flooded, I would agree with your comment...But please check out the story of Lake Delton. It was a man-made lake built 80 or so years ago. The water from the flood swollen lake actually created it's own totally new channel through solid ground crossing to the Wisconsin River, taking out a section of a county road and creating a crevice that was over 200 yards across and 60 feet deep.

  • Good Video!!
