@mkilner I hear more than a little John Sykes and Brian Robertson in the mix, as well -- but he doesn't mimic any of those guys. His phrasing is amazing. He's also a very good singer.

@lauriersroses333 As a 20yr+ musician, John Norum is less a 'technician' like Kirk used to be (Master/Justice era) ... If you've not heard Norum's 5+ solo albums, you wouldn't know his subtleties & more emotive work, IMHO. Sure, I still listen to both - its not a contest, just talking contrasts

@lauriersroses333 you have to clean your ears... Hammet is an above average guitarist at best, norum is a virtuoso, listen to Face the Truth, I think your Kirk would break his fingers if he attempted any of those solos...
