  • Congrats John Norum, 48 years young today!!

  • John and John (Norum and Sykes) both carry the Gary Moore torch very well.

  • Face melter!

  • 2 guys has fenders....

  • this guys solos make me want to cry!!! :( ):

  • sorry i meant this clip, but this is from a live TV performance?.....anyway i will look into getting the DVD of these guys, John has definately got his own style and sound, i hope to see him one day!

  • he has knocked my other favorites to the floor and is by far the best player around these days... and thats saying a lot.... just my opinion ...

  • How talented and amazing and cool is Norum??

  • КЛАСС!!! SUPER!!!

  • yeeeeeeeeeahhh

  • With a vibrato like that...... snarlingly good!

A little bit o' Ronson in there somewhere.........

  • awsomeness! john norum, john sykes, jake e lee, gary moore, kee marcello, are all great and also my fave guitarists. rock on!

  • good god that is sweet.

  • sounds very good ! extreme talent !

  • go John Norum (John Norum plays the final countdown album 100 x better then Kee Marcello

  • John Norum grandissimo...............

  • I've only just heard about this guy through his Gary Moore tribute... i always knew the final countdown solo, but he's a fantastic player

  • I just got blown away!....incredible playing, a little Gary Moore with a hint of Michael Schenker equals Awesome!...must get the DVD then!

  • @mkilner I hear more than a little John Sykes and Brian Robertson in the mix, as well -- but he doesn't mimic any of those guys. His phrasing is amazing. He's also a very good singer.

  • @mkilner You mean the Start from the dark DVD? Or are there another? Anyway, it's on there too and yes, great playing!

  • Heavy Birthday John!

  • some parts are from his shimering high from his another destenation album right?

  • dont think its a jvm410 it looks more like a dsl dual super lead to me?

  • @biclette Jcm 800 2205

  • minus 4.1 degrees in the stadium?? That's fuckin chilly

  • reminds me alot of doug aldrich. This is awesome!

  • @shredhead23 I totally agree.

He remains me of Gary Moore in 80´s and a bit of Zakk Wylde too.

John is a true guitar heroe.

  • Great tone JVM410 I think. Great feeling. One of the greats. Thanks John.

  • PLEASE??????????????? Somebody.....Anybody........tell me the name of this song(instrumental). I need to know and what album can I find it on?

  • @msairmaiden

The title is "Milano" and you can find it on Live From The Dark DVD, it was never published on any of their/his albums.

  • Thank you "room101". I hope I get to see him perform this live on Feb. 19 in London, provided I get my passport in time. Wish me luck! @room101Ser

  • @msairmaiden Good luck! :) Enjoy there! :)

  • Respond to this video... Thank you, Mr. Room101sr!

  • VERY GOOD, GENIO....""!!!!!!!

  • Great playing by John and Mic both. I love metal bands that have guitar and keyboard leads. Awesome when both are showcasing their prowess.

  • He can play!!!

  • Love this solo!!!

  • Somewhere between Gary Moore and Michael Schenker.

  • Mr. John Norum, one of the best

  • Ladies and Gentlemen... JOHN NORUM!!!

  • Hey 66jtm45 - Kirk WISHES he had the dexterity AND the tone of John in this clip these days! ;) GO NORUM, Make the Les Pauls sing!

  • @HiLifeRocker Agreed!! I like Kirk....LOVE Norum!!!!

  • @HiLifeRocker 2 different players!! kirk can do any stuff of norum, but im not msure if norum can play so heavy as kirk do !! but absolutly kirk are bigger of course, hes in one of the biggest band of the world: metallica

  • @lauriersroses333 As a 20yr+ musician, John Norum is less a 'technician' like Kirk used to be (Master/Justice era) ... If you've not heard Norum's 5+ solo albums, you wouldn't know his subtleties & more emotive work, IMHO. Sure, I still listen to both - its not a contest, just talking contrasts

  • @HiLifeRocker i see :) actualy i didnt heard much of john stuff, just some of his work, specialy old stuff/europe, but i admit hes a very good guitarist yes :)

  • @lauriersroses333 you have to clean your ears... Hammet is an above average guitarist at best, norum is a virtuoso, listen to Face the Truth, I think your Kirk would break his fingers if he attempted any of those solos...

  • @MetalDctr ok

  • great player-----too

much wah. sounds like he's got kirk hammett disease.

  • you have more

  • he is my favourite guitar player, thanks for the vid !

  • Why it doesnt have 5 stars? cmon! great solo

  • the king !!!
