(2) the book also focuses on the history and people of that times which is great for me, as I like the history. movie itself is more of a hoolywood romance but I love it the same - Vivien Leigh as Scarlett was brilliant (you can find lots of her in Katherine) and Clark Gable's character stands next to Damon when I think of perfect lover, haha!:)

(1) you have to read the book!:) some say it's rather long but I love it:) every page!:) I knew it before TVD so when I saw that the flashbacks of Salvatore Brothers and Katherine are set during the Civil War I was so excited! and then there were so many other references to the book and movie! it was my fav book before TVD so when they put it on top of Damon's book I was in heaven. Rhett/Scarlett romance is the best ever written:) truly:)
