I've never looked at the vampire mythology like this but it does makes sense in a way. They were just creepy to me. These books, like Harry Potter, takes evil sterotypes and turns them into good guys, which I like. I hated monsters as a kid, yet in one generation that has changed. More movies make them fun and I think that's good for kids. Less nightmares. .
