  • I love slingerland drums! Whitehall has some great ones too!

  • Derrick MCkenzie child drum

  • i've always wanted a slingerland kit like this, one really big one, like the 71 ludwg power factory, then one like the buddy rich style setup, damn i love em!

  • drums made for more civilized times.

  • I've got the same one at home! I LOVE EM!

  • i playend a singerland 1971 metal snare IT KICKS ASS

  • Debate what????

  • Yes he did, as well as Bill Ward from Black Sabbath,Neal Smith with Alice Cooper,Bev Bevan from ELO and Danny Seraphine with Chicago. Neil Peart used Slingerland drums on the first four or five Rush lps, but never endorsed them. After the Gibson acquisition, Carmine Appice played them exclusively but stopped when the company ran into problems once again.

  • did nigel olsson use these?

  • Actually, Gibson is no longer manufacturing Slingerland drums extensively. For awhile they were marketing them as a budget line, no top end gear- however I'm not so sure that is even still correct.

  • beautiful.

  • now i know the value of my 1971 red tiger slingerland rock drum set... thank you for this video. ive got the same logo on my bass drum :)

  • does anyone know what i can do to see when my slingerland set was made? literally i found it in great condition, every drum in a travel case, in a junkyard!! there are no lugs for legs on the floor toms so i am a little puzzled. can anyone help me out?

  • @amr7861 The shells were stamped inside with the month and year of manufacture. The badge will also give you a time era because they changed them.

  • @thecravenator42069 Gibson bought out the Slingerland company. Just google slingeland and it will take you to a part of Gibson's website. Gibson even bought out my favorite bass company, Kramer. FUCK GIBSON!!!!!

  • I am jealous. My Slingerland set is only from 1975!

  • gibson sucks, slingerland rocks

  • haha i have just about the same kit! but, 2 bass drums, 3 toms, 2 floor toms, and 2 concert toms!

  • awesome Slingerland. Mahogany. Reminds me of the Slinger/leedy Shelly Manne used in that finish

  • i play a slingerland set at school and love it, great set

  • when I was in high school in the mid/late 90s we had a blue sparkle black/silver Niles badge Slingerland

I love that set of drums.

  • Fresh look, sweet sound.

  • Are you for sure this is a 60's kit? I have a kit with all the same everything, and I can't narrow it down from 60-70's

  • I have a 70s kit, it's 14 X 24, 10 X 13, 11 X 14, 16 X 16. This set looks similar. Same finish, but none of my toms have the dampener with knob. I assume tis is probably a late 60s model.

  • I'm requesting again...please click my site and contact me. I am seriously interested in either trading or purchasing this kit if you are at all willing. Thanks again.

    Michael

  • Check my site. I'm looking for some Slingys of that finish...the same finish as my Buddy kit. Are you at all interested in selling this kit? This is a serious inquiry. Thanks. MIchael

  • hell yeah! and I'm a PROUD owner!!!!!!!

  • @kozimoto93 You can debate this over and over!

  • Gretsch ...

  • Battlefield and SJC drums are better
