there was other cars mixed in with our group, they're in different classes but we all race together and get timed and scored separately. The 1st gen RX-7 is in a class called SpecRX7, it was the precursor to Spec Miata but faded out when Spec Miata got big.

Man, I know that feeling from when I raced a Rabbit in ITC. Catch up to a RX7 in the corners and braking only to have them pull you on the straights. Nice job though!
When he got his lines right and kept the corner speeds up, it appeared to only be very slightly down. When he got the line right though, he was all over them!
Its only about 10 to 12 K for a pretty decent car. Get your race license for about 2k and you are on your way. About the cheapest racing you can do.
I drive a vette on track now but the expense of maintenance and parts is driving me nuts. Im selling it and going to a Miata. Yeah ill miss the 500 plus HP but the racing seems to be much more fun in the Miata.
This racing is somthing im very inerested in, how can I get started? what does it take?
