this was a really fun song to learn on bass. im surprised that this album didnt get international success. it had all the right stuff. can someone explain this to me? was there some kind of error in advertising? not enough publicity? id love to know. because this was a tight album, vinces best work i think. i love the crue, but this was better. thats just my opinion. i dont want to argue with anyone. it wasnt as raw, it was machined a bit. but ... perfect.
@clinehar two reasons, released during the rise of grunge (1993 biggest sellers were Nirvana's -In Utero, Pearl Jam's -Vs. and Smashing Pumpkins -Siamese Dream) and 2) band just didnt get along.(wiki: Phil Soussan quit the band, a lawsuit ensued after Stevens wanted writing credits on Soussan's songs, Soussan served an injunction on the record(promotion hampered), Robbie Crane left the band after punchup with Vince, Foxx was fired after stealing equipment.

@jppgstrat Ehhh, bleib mal auf'm Teppich! Der Kerl ist HEUTE sicherlich eine völlig verbratene Gurke! Sex, Drugs, you know... Very sexy guy, but today only a roasted cucumber btw. pumpkin...
Just shows you how good SWEET were, I love Vince, and sadly seen Bryan Connolly touring his Sweet band in Australia just before he died. He was led onto the small stage at Bell St Rock , Preston , Melb, Australia, and could barely offer a vocal. Then stumbled off the stage, and left the band to do covers of others songs
@Vinnie7683 Probably didnt want to do it live because of how insanely crazy Crue permanently were. Still, could have played together in the studio for a bonus track or something
@Vinnie7683 - I bet they would have, but i think it's in the Dirt... Before Crue made it... Mark Calloway from Sweet was all smug to Nikki, saying he'd never make it and that Crue weren't good enough. Might be why he didn't want to pay the tribute of covering one of his songs.
Love this song, it's almost 40 years old and it sounds like the template for Iron Maiden and maybe Judas Priest. Good on you Neil for doing this song justice
that one riff in the beginning really reminds me of rebel yell :D good cover!

@clinehar also Ron Nevison produced the album. many, many big metal and rock acts of the 80s and 90s where developed with him in the chair.
