no the thing is about this is wen this is "played" at a concert, the musis is peoples reactions and comments, it makes u listen to natural sounds around u n shows u that music doesnt necessarilly have to come from instruments. Great music is only perceived great by people, so music can be anything a person wants it to be. So if a audience thinks this is a good peice than it can be

played?!!? this song was supposed to consist of silence throughout 4 minutes and 33 seconds. Anything that happened in the audience was part of the peice. This peice is diferent everytime depending on what ppl say and do during the peice of music. Say, sum1 whispers and rattles, that would be part of the musical peice in that concert. At first I didnt get it but my music teacher explained it all to the class and every1 laughed.:)

For noobs:One musical piece has no sound at all. It is called 4 minutes 33 seconds. It was ' written ' by the American composer John Cage in 1954. A pianist sits at the piano and plays nothing for exactly 4 minutes and 33 seconds.
