  • Believe nothing on the faith of traditions,

even though they have been held in honor

for many generations and in diverse places.

Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it.

Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past.

Do not believe what you yourself have imagined,

  • Do not believe what you yourself have imagined,

persuading yourself that a God inspires you.

Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests.

After examination, believe what you yourself have tested

and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

    Buddha

  • First precept abstain from killing sloow talking Buddhist who takes forever to get to points.

  • Feel kind of empty.

  • i might be buddhist because there is no god, war conflicts and science hasnt disproved any of its teachings. i want to learn more

  • Thank you for sharing much love!

  • thanks for posting this

  • as a self described pagan whose trying to learn about buddhism, i come here and find you christians shiting on other peoples faith again. obviousely the nazarine has take your ability for love at least nonbelievers. I am so sick of you motherfuckers, wolves to these peacefull lambs. Curse be the day when your armies hijacked western civilization, your not a religion your an empire of zombies. at least Buddha was a real guy.

  • Although your first instinct may be to feel hatred towards these people, i'm afraid you are doing a disservice to yourself and others. Our goal should be compassion to all sentient beings, even those who don't show it back.

  • Buddhism's CORE concept is that " Desires cause attachments, Attachments cause Pain.Once u have no attachments you have no pain AKA you have pure happiness". Everytime u were sad its due to a craving..no craving mean no sadness..Getting sick is a Dharma. Buddhist's main aim must be to achieve nibbana..These 5 percepts are for lay buddhists to have a peacefull life..Metta meditation is my favourite..Anapana sati is amazing. i wanna be Sotapanna..Saadhu

  • Jesus and Buddha would both love this precious monk. There is nothing here which Jesus would not have said. Love IS the law.

  • where is proof of this jesus? where is evidence?

  • yeah and he was raised again! n is in heaven never to die again he was not mocked his God, the god of piece raised him from the dead into eternal lyf. thats true love isnt it?? ur buddah is dead still in the grave! he lived a long n boring life.

  • Though I know this will have no positive affect on a closed mind: How much love does it require for an eternal God to take form for a few years and then go back home? If I know I can come back to the warmth, what hardship is it to step out into the cold? That said, he loved, as a human, with great effect. Jesus & Buddha were brothers of the same father. How would Jesus' teaching have changed if he had had 45 years to teach? And did his students accurately learn what he knew and taught?

  • if the buddha had risen again then that would prove buddhism to be a lie! he had to die in order to break free from existance, that's the goal.

i find it so hilarious how Jesus COPIED the Buddhist teachings but acted as if they were his very own.....if he was "the messiah" then why did he take life? (from fish) and why did he express anger? (in the temple).....spiritual ppl don't do such things. Use your common sense, all of the Middle-Eastern Religions have FAILED to uphold GODLINESS!

  • i am catholic but i feel that i somehow dont belong in that religion..

i actually want to convert into a buddist..

but anyways..... YOU MAKE A GOOD POINT!

  • I've read that Buddhism is better known as a philosophy rather than a religon. You don't hav to worry abot converting. Study it and make an attempt to live by it while observing changes in your life, and you are a buddhist aleady. ;)

  • @perez10388 I was raised from an Atheist family, till I became agnostic at 17, and then Buddhist at 19. You do not "have to" convert into Buddhism. You may still be Catholic, and study Buddhism =)

  • @JBthree24 i dont even know how to even start studying buddhism...

all i know is that i am positive and very optimistic towards everything.. and i really threat people the way i want to be threated and i am honest..

  • 08king, this is about the stupidest post

    that I have ever encountered.

If you are not in favor of the Abrahamic

    religions, join the club.

What ever your 'spirtual direction', I think

    you need a new compass.

You come of as a troubled person, who

lacks an open mind, you are too attached

    to your 'miserable feelings'.

  • I'm sorry I didn't realize you are only

    a child.

Come back when you grow up, you will

then have experiences, that will give you

    a point of reference.......

I think if you go to the music video's or

the cartoon video's you will be happier.

  • Damn "2angely3".Jesus isn't live.Your Jesus was KILLED !!! My Buddha faced a peaceful natural death.

  • Damn you.Jesus isn't live.Your Jesus was KILLED !!! My Buddha faced a peaceful natural death.

  • This is exactly why now while chosing a spiritual path, a religion. will always avoid christianism, so much judgement anger and discrimination, so little intolerance and respect.

grew up on I know how it is.

  • ....you mean "Christianity" lol...and it has so little "tolerance" not intolerance.

I strongly agree with you. Very good for you. I believe- just my opinion- religion is dangerous. It is narrow, primitive, and f*** up by humans. God is made in man's naive image. Spirituality is too big for just one religion. Read "Conversations with God," you will absolutely love it. It will change your life. Open up to its possibilities.

  • any chance of one with subtitles?

  • while this guy most probably is not high he really looks like it.

this is a great video 5 stars

  • This monk looks like a Theravada monk. Theravada monks cannot marry and have a family.

As a fact, having sexual relations with a woman automatically turns a monk into a lay person.

So a monk can only marry if he puts off his robes and becomes a layperson again.

  • can a monk marry and has a family?

  • Thank You
