I'm American and from German and Irish heritage, and I don't think its specifically against ppl from german descent, I think its just white ppl in general
When Germans came to America, they always came to become Americans. They didn´t want to be part of a closed ethnic group, like Italo-Americans or Jewish-Americans or Irish-Americans. Germans immigrated to America because they loved the country and tried to get a new life in freedom and prosperity.
A large majority of German immigrants were lured to the U.S. by newspaper adds declaring a need for educated workers for professional type jobs.Germans arrived to find no work but manual labor,advertised towns consisted of a few wood shacks,or they were crammed into immigrant ghettos or drafted to fight in the Civil War.
Although they were disapointed,homeless and broke they went to work and created todays infrastructure and Midwestern cities.
Affirmitive action is ALWAYS a bad idea, such quotas create nothing but more problems. Base college entrance exams and job applications on the students grades and not on skin color or wealth. Guess what, a rich kid can be bad at school and a poor can be good at school.
The only outcome of such quotas is that people at work/in university will say "oh that's just the quota nigger", regardless whether he/she is actually qualified or not.
@USAdude30 OMG if you think that whites are discriminated then don't cry at all.....I am nor white nor black and imagine how much discrimination I experience....Some whites and blacks teach their children to hate other people for no good reason...
Very interesting vid. But I - as a German - think, that there should not be any "additional help" for Germans. If you're really good - you will make it into Harvard or any other university. Discrimination is a thing you can always hide behind...and many people do...

Germans are a wonderful people. Decent, and industrious, and honest and
incredibly hard working. Dont worry about Harvard etc..this place is hopelessly
corrupt. ...the best students want nothing to do with it.
