cool idea but EXTREMELY primative and bulky. I recently did this same thing but instead of a router, dc to ac converter, etc... all you need to do is buy a "add a circuit" from autozone for 4 bucks which creates a direct accessorie line that turns off when car turns off. From there the circuit looks like this. power source>any 5v 1.5amp dc charger (soldering required)>roku power converted tip spliced on> roku box
Another alternative might be to use the new android phone that Sprint has (HTC Evo 4G), it's supposed to have the capability of functioning as a hotspot and it's got HDMI out. I don't own one, so I haven't tested it or anything, but you maybe able to get around having to use the clunky router this way and possibly output the Netflix app directly from your phone to your LCD. (If it supports HDMI). Thus not needing the Roku box either :)
