  • This ten minutes was more deserving than anything that has ever made it on the big screen. Even Dark Knight. Ledger and Nicholson are both awsome, but Hamill will always be the greatest of them all.

This Joker was so twisted he didn't need to always take himself seriously. He liked to have fun, he liked to play mind games and when he killed, he had the gas. Joker gas was fucking amazing.

And that laugh... Every variation of that laugh... Man

  • quite possibly the most intense scene of the entire batman series (BTAS), one could only imagine if the series would have had this much intensity and emotion...not to say that BTAS wasnt the achievment that it was - either way just a thought, and yes this is the best part of this movie.

  • Holy crap, the Joker used a knife. A full eight years before The Dark Knight, even!

  • This was a genius Batman film, as was Mask of The Phantasm, and Under the Red Hood. The 3 best cartoon adaptations of Batman I've seen. They really knew how to capture the essence of the comics in a dark way without ever being too gloomy. I can't wait for The Dark Knight Rises, I have a feeling Chris Nolan is going to play off a little more of the Arkham Asylum feel, in a way that really tugs the audiences' hearts with how demented these villain's really are. I have a lot of faith in Tom Hardy

  • The joy of child birth gag gets me every time.

  • Without a doubt the best part of the movie

  • OLOL, a semiauto bazooka! ^^

  • @TheLastMonarch ACHTUNG PANZERSHREK!

  • Wait doesn't Tim become Red Robin?

  • @snatchadams69 different continuety....plus this was made over 10 years ago....Red Robin wasn't even thought of yet

  • That blonde hooker totally looks like black canary! LoL!

  • this was a time, where cartoon had balls.

byt why, dear god why did Joker die? he was the brilliant one, the that made me watch batman.... i was always hoping for the joker to apear when i saw batman, as a child.

  • @heffness even though i still watch it...

  • I hope Batman's happy.

  • Speaking of Robin... where was Nightwing? Or we will have pumpers one-hit villains now?...

  • @Wenonimus i don't think nightwing even had been robin yet... it's possible that nightwing replaced this robin as the new robin, but i can't remember :)

  • @newdawn23 no the orginal robin became was gone cuz he was in the teen titans but was still called night wing then this new robin came in to help an thus cuz in the brave an bold its this robin they show night wing is the old robin

  • @boktai10 No, Dick Grayson at this point was Nightwing. Out of the Teen Titans and in Bludhaven in this continuity. Watch the BTAS Episode "Old Wounds". Dick had a falling out with Batman and Batgirl and left on his own. He tells the stories to the young Robin.

  • @swimfastfly27 o.O thats strange lol

  • @swimfastfly27 Hard to keep up with Static shock visiting the future along with the Justice league and Hell even batman mentioning the Teen Titans. i got lost EVERYWHERE <xD

  • @UltimasIsland

Wait till you try to follow the 'histories' of (Project) Zeta and Darci - your head may 'asplode' from 'teh gud writeing' their episodes received. 9_9

  • @ChainsawGenie o.o Maybe over complicated movies and shows really are starting to get less interesting ^^; But still Batman owns :3

  • The harlequen from assassins creed brotherhood and harleyquin should get together there both crimanaly insane!

  • thumbs up if joker junior creeps the shit out of u!

  • im surprised how many views this has

  • Wow.. LOL!

  • theres more blood in this than the dark knight, my only complaint about the dark knight

  • i hate this batman movie. why did this have to happen to robin? why he couldn't just marry star fire??

  • @killvril1 well man just remember this is Tim Drake. It was Dick Grayson the first Robin that had a relationship (now Nightwing) with Starfire.

  • @killvril1 wow

  • terrible animation

  • @playfulpaul1985 its a 13 year old movie.

  • @danieldude19 so was the batman befour this but that is brilliantly done

  • @playfulpaul1985

Batman: the Animated Series = Brilliant.

Batman Beyond = Different but still good.

The Batman = Disgrace to the franchise.

    Shall I elaborate? }:^)

(And don't even get me started on 'Ailing Enforced' *shudder*) -_-U

  • Holy cow. Robin is tortured into insanity? Do they make things this dark for kids any more?

  • @PorusHorus sadly no these were the good days

  • @PorusHorus

Movie is only 10 years old.

  • @PorusHorus

    Unfortunately, no

  • @PorusHorus

The small screen needs more Megas, Daria and Duckman and less of the punching-bag crap that's currently polluting the airwaves. Unfortunately, the studios and networks are run by bucketheads who ran out of 'creativity' years ago.

Unless you want to tickle-torture them into making better shows, it might be best to revisit older series via sites like this one until the 'big boys' get their heads out of the sand.

Why settle for Scamboy & Dumdum when literally *anything* is possible?

  • Considering the size of the hammer Harley hits Tim with, wouldn't Tim's spine and ribs have been shattered as a result? Food for thought.

  • The jokers finest moments from the animated series pity it was his "Last"

  • You can get the audio-mp3 of this tune at grabyouraudio doht cohm.

  • the first time i watched this episode it made me cry cuz Robin was my favorite guy in batman :( 4:25

  • Batman is my favorite comic book hero of all time, he doesn't have powers, he trains hard all around the world to have fighting abilities, and beat powerful enemy's with intelligence he gathers through hard work. Batman saves lives knowing he's vulnerably to weaknesses that humans have which makes reading about him a blast. He owns superman in every way I mean every way. The joker he's my all time favorite villain, he's funny, crazy, and different than most villains which makes him great.

  • 8:11-10:13

My favorite moment out of all the various animated movies and shows of Batman. The music, Batman's face, and Joker laughing at him for the incident that made him his greatest foe as if he were a pathetic child all say everything. He was angry before, but as soon as Joker brings up his parents he's about to cross the line. Whatever happens it all ends tonight yet he still can't do it and his enemy so close to victory dies exactly how he never wanted to go. With the joke on him.

  • @balrog13571 Beautifully said. And you were SPOT ON. That scene gave me chills running what you said in my mind really topped it off.

  • Damn, they did some fucked up stuff to Robin ._.

  • funnest lines were 'sweete get mommys bazoka' and 'it would be funny if it wernt so pathtic...aw what the heck i'll laugh anyway' lol

  • Aw man, he fell ON the stake in his chest. That's hardcore

  • Robin= gayest character ever.

  • @Kriegerherz15 are u high read a comic all 3 were awesome especially jason todd

  • @000mud000 i thougt there was 4 damian wayne was robin wasent he?

also there was a girl who was robin for a mounth but most people dont count her

  • @zilladude360 Yeah, Damien is robin. The girl who used to be spoiler was robin but the Black mask killed her.

  • lol "that´s not funny"

    :D

  • "Sweety, get mommy's bazooka" damn

  • "Sweetie, get mommy's bazooka!"

  • What do you think happens after we die?

  • Mark Hamill is the best Joker.

  • You know, with the type of CGI used for Green Lantern, they could now make a really good looking "Batman Beyond" Batsuit.

  • i miss these old cartoons...

  • not only does she not die she has two grand kids..

  • @MrMegaUber this movie was out before ben 10 so ben 10 stole it. plus he says "hero time" not "its hero time"

  • @MrMegaUber I am pretty sure this came out... long before Ben 10 did.

  • Who's doing the voice for Barbara Gordon? It sounds so familiar.

  • @hugoegbert79 Angie Harmon. I think she was in Law and Order

  • @XionicXDemon Yes, you're right! Thanks!

  • @hugoegbert79 Baywatch Nights, hahahaha!

  • where can i find the hole episode

  • @29ungido this is a movie

Batman beyond the return of the joker

  • @29ungido

As far as I know, the movie (Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker) is still available on DVD at places like Wal-Mart & HMV. If you decide to grab it, though, make sure it's the *Original Uncut Version* - the kidified 'mainstream' version is a pale imitation of Timm & Dini's original masterpiece.

(And believe me, 'butchered disgrace' doesn't even *begin* to describe what the marketing department imposed on this work. Every single one of those corporate weasels should be ashamed) }:^(

  • Why are the captions you added half off of the screen in some parts?

  • damn, vader must have screwed luke up REAL bad ROFL!!!

  • R.I.P Joker

One of the greatest and creepiest villains in history.

  • this scene always reminded me of the trojan horse trick, where robin was faking the joker's loyalty and killed him in the end.

  • and to think this joker was out before dark knight so this joker is completely original

  • lol its impossible to find the "cut" version of it

  • I didn't watch this so I wanna know if Joker died how'd he appear again in Batman Beyond with the new batman???

  • @leopardhunter99 watch the movie it explains it

  • So was harley quinn ever shown on "batman beyond"

  • @MrDjoyahs Yeah. it shows her bailing her twin grand daughters out of jail.

  • Mr J's on the rebound baby! My comeback party's gonna set the whole town on fire! Legend!

  • @TheMaStUrCh3EF download it as a torrent from the pirate bay

  • lol

  • Any time Batman comes at the Joker through a glass window it's gonna be awesome.

  • Joker and Harley are a wonderful couple :3

  • somehow im guessing, this never appeared on cartoon network maybe?

  • @XardBoy it did

  • Ive never seen this version...wow...amazing

  • I love the way Joker says:"That's not funny." Even with his death rapidly approaching, he's still thinking about humor!

  • @kirkslashable The only way it could have been better would've been if he paused for a second and then said, "Alright, it's a little funny." and then chuckled a little before dying.

  • I like both versions for their own reasons:

Edited: I found the shock a parallel both visually and physically (to characters) and a more lasting and disturbing image.

Uncut: I can see Bruce's terror in the actual use of a gun.

I think the editing of extra punches is so overkill on censoring, it's not believable to have one punch end it. No matter what, parents still need to talk with their kids about real life consequences.

Side Note: What I want to know is how Harley survived that fall.

  • @pointyearsrule listen pal, this batman pulled no punches already back in the day. i was 8 years old when i first saw this and creeped me out without knowing that it was the cut version. its fine with or without content being removed. i just recently found out i had the cut version the whole time.

  • @zmatthew91 Obviously you didn't read my comment because that's what I'm saying: both versions are good in their own ways.

I find fault in the censoring punches in this series b/c it's Batman Beyond & it's supposed to be edgier & more realistic.

Yeah, Batman the Animated Series was censored, it was for kids and their fan-parents, but Beyond was intended for a much older audience, as such the censoring should have matched, but they were nice enough to make both versions so all could enjoy it.

  • Doesn't sound like Luke Skywalker :/

  • "Sweetie, get mommy's bazooka" lol

  • Is there an uncut version?

  • 4:39 best laugh ever

  • "....If you dont like the movie...Ive got slides."

    Lol xD

  • Comment removed

  • 8:36 Oh Shiiit! There are many things u get comin to ya, and a pissed off batman would be the last thing you'd want!

  • @shittysticky You think the joker cares xD?

  • from wich to wich year is the cartoon produced ?

THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT !

  • what Year Did This Come Out

  • @iWarpStudios December 12th, 2000

  • damn. i have the edited version. this one gave me chills. wow, is this the pg 13 version? thats disturbing. good stuff

  • This is THE most disturbing scene in the entire DCAU. Darkseid, Lex Luthor, Brainiac, and whatever else, has nothing on the Joker.

  • Why does The Joker seem so intent on making Batman kill him?

  • @videomaster1018 He wants to push Batman over the edge. He wants to prove a point that one bad day can make any man snap. Go read "The Killing Joke", it really gives you insight into Joker's motivation.

  • @kylesullivan96 Yeah, but this Joker is completely seperate. This one was an organized crime member, while the one in The Killing Joke was a failed comedian going to do what he did for a good reason. I can't blame THAT one for going mad, this one was just thug whom got bleached. (I'm not saying he isn't badass, I'm just saying his reason for going nuts coulda been a bit more...insaning =L)

  • So does Harley die?

  • @TheCarobear Harley is still alive at the end of the movie. She is an old lady bailing the Dee Dee's out of jail.

  • made me shit me self

  • @XionicXDemon How did you get the uncut version? When I first got the movie a long time ago it was edit.

  • Comment removed

  • This is the scariest Joker that has ever been on-screen.

  • 8:34-8:41

"bitch how dare you talk about my mother"

  • i wonder if joker ever really hit that. shit i would all day and night

  • Joker never dies!

  • You NEVER, EVER laugh about batmans parents death EVER!!!!

  • @AVPPREDALIEN HAHA Batman's parents are deaddd! Watcha gonna do bout it punk.

  • who wins in a fight between...Superman vs The hulk vs juggernaut vs super sayian goku v brolly vs xmen apocalypse??

  • @facey55 batman

  • @Warmturkeysandwich Idont think so dude batman doesnt stand a chance agaimst those guyz

  • this is when the show started to suck. I am so glad I never saw this part as a kid cause honestly, it's pure shit to say the ultimate least. very thoughtless way of ending the series.

  • @alangentrinapestegui im sure we'd all say the same if they tailored the show to your liking

  • They are quite cute tigether

  • You know, you can only go so far with cartoons before you start getting hate mail from the parents about how violent it is. Batman is probably the most violent you will ever get in a cartoon.

On another note, respect to Mark Hamill. He was brilliant as the joker. If not just the voice, he still did any outstanding job. "The last sound you hear will be our laughter" Brilliant. Love it. Batman is my favorite superhero series and always will be.

  • Yes the Joker is dead!

  • Hmm...makes you think 0_0 Batman was to much of a goody to kill the joker while his side-kick a kid, was able to kill him? -_- LOL

  • Saddest turn of events, the hands of a child killing an evil so great a man who was suppose to protect people could not do what that kid did. mad props the robin

  • probally saddest turn of events

  • Don't know why they discontinued this show, batman beyond was one of the best batman's ever made.

  • @CarmineD187 batman beyond was rediculous, it wasnt batman it was that terry kid with no cape and rocket boots. the show was just not classic batman, it was too futuristic and lame. and the show got entirely way too dark for its own good, and if a cartoon cant be watched by kids then that is sad.

  • @burtonrules123 my guess is you never watched anime

  • @MasakanSolaris Batman Beyond wasn't anime. What's wrong with you?

  • @thefinalact1 HAHAHA! I was about to ask you the same question. Im not saying that batman beyond is anime,I'm saying that to believe that cartoons have to be watchable by kids is naive or downright stupid.

There are boatloads of cartoons that are "not suitible for children" or "can't be watched by kids".

I was using anime as an example cause there are plenty of cartoons that would be too violent or dark or complex for most small children in that specific style.

    Do you understand?

  • @MasakanSolaris : Still though, this whole entire scene is suitable for children to watch. IT's just that us as Americans are to protective thinking it'll ruin their minds. The Japanese got the right idea. Batman TAS, and Batman Beyond were children shows at it's best. Shows for children that can be appreciated, and watched by people of older ages.

  • @burtonrules123 Not true my depressed chum, once a cartoon can't be watched by kids it becomes awesome for us young adults har har har I be loving cartoons, both the childish ones and the more adult ones, they both make me laugh and the special effects in a live action or the casting or makeup would mess up a lot of old cartoons. It's just the medium to tell a story, and if animated properly you shouldn't remember it's a cartoon.

  • @burtonrules123 Your Crazy saying it was a bad show, it was one of the best spin offs made. Also who wants to see a cartoon made for 10 year olds, most batman fans now adays are like 18+.

  • this is actually cannon in the comic very nice

they did this because none liked tim drake he was an arrogant punk

in the comic he dies thogh

  • @mewmaster151 You're confusing Tim Drake with Jason Todd, dude. Speaking of which, have you seen the "Under The Red Hood" movie? Look it up, it's a great little flick.

  • @mewmaster151 if this was canon Barbara Gordon would be in a wheel chair

  • Best one liner to ever be used by a villain.

"Behind all the acts of badassness & selfish carelessness your just a sad little child crying for mommy & daddy".

  • Robin is OK, but I personally think he would be a lot better if they mad him a bit darker like batman

  • @ChelseaHerself The Red Robin in the comic is the current one and is Bruce Wayne and Talia Ghul's son, Damien Wayne. He was raised by the league of assassins and he's the darkest and most bad ass Robin yet. Sounds like just what you've been asking for.

  • Highlight of the series yes but Im mixed on it. On the one hand the censored version makes much more sense in terms of the plot and overall feel, robin didn't want to kill joker just save bruce but then they removed the knife so you have no idea why bruce is bleeding or can't get up (and the limp later in life) On the other hand the uncensored version makes it much darker and really hammers in how it changed all of them. I dunno. I think being electrocuted but not censoring would have worked

  • Mark hamil's joker is way better than the dark knight joker

  • @adth446 I dunno it's a hard call to make. They're both right for their medium, Mark Hamill's being a cartoon and Heath's being more "realistic". I mean I just can't write him off because his incarnation of the famous villain truly hit me when I went to see TDK back in 08.

  • @adth446 they were both amazing in their own ways. This joker makes a better straight up villain, trying to completely destroy batman, while the other joker is more in line with "The Killing Joke," a philosophical force of destruction that doesnt want to dominate or rule so much as show that everyone else is just like him.

  • I had never seen the uncensored version of this movie, so I was shocked when Robin/JJ shot Joker. In the regular version, he was electrocuted when Robin/JJ pushed him into the lab area. Sad to say, I was watching this and my 5 yr olds walk in just at that part. Sorry kids, Robin did lay an egg and the Joker DID NOT get away. :-) (Yeah, yeah, "That's...not funny...")

  • beste JOKER is Face shock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Joker is truly a horror creation. Sure all his crimes have a theatrical theme, but when it comes down to it he's still a psycho killer.

Imagine being dosed with the Joker's laughing gas. The pain of facial cramps that distort your face, your self control taken away, the knowledge that death is nigh and finally the deadly toxins that rush through your veins cause cardiac arrest.

The Joker lives for performance and the attention it brings. He cares for no one! A true monster!!

  • @giantguy1321 well in a comic he killed a mother of cloned babies, but he didnt laugh and he kinda looked sad when he did it

  • @giantguy1321 Yes, all these things make the Joker a great villain

  • @KageShadows I would love to see an R-rated origin movie of the Joker. Not a dark knight spin-off, but something a little more psycotic and darker. Why dosen't DC release a more adult style set of animated movies. Still a little pissed Marvel didn't give us a Marvel Zombies animated feature!!!!

  • @giantguy1321 And I love it, OH do I love it, such theatrics in his devious works! Best. Villain. Ever.

  • @giantguy1321 the childish antics ENHANCE the creepiness. when that exploding pie actually FUCKING KILLS SOMEONE then it suddenly gives a very unique sadistic twist to things. How crazy do you have to be to do this shit? it's all one big absurd game to this lunatic, and yet he's just sane enough to know how much pain he's causing, and he likes it.

  • @giantguy1321 lets just remember it is based on a fake comic lol dont be so serious

  • @Silverdragon203 Let's also remember that The Joker is an extreme personification of the reality. There really are people like this guy out there. Maybe not with such flare fo the theatrical, but they do exist and many simply do what they do for attention!! He's an exagiration of the real and thats what makes him so menacing.

  • @Silverdragon203 He began as a criminal that would burst into the room, incapaitate with laughing gas and escape with the jewels. However over the years he has transformed with the times. He has grown from a camp style thief into a murderer, a hired gun, a sadist and overall villian of the now. He may not exist in reality, but his attributes sure do and very much so!!

  • bdjh

  • Did this get a re-release? I surely would love to buy this and all the other animated movies dc puts out.

  • This story is pretty dark and smart the only down side is that the joker knows his identity and even worse that he dies. Other than that right down my book.

  • Yay Harley Quinn!

  • who voices joker? hes awsome

  • @IVANLULE The Joker voice was done by Mark Hamil. He is awesome in this role.

  • @amypest1976 thx

  • @IVANLULE luke skywalker

  • @SuperMicklovin thx ps cool name
