  • best audio quality ever

  • just drive down it, doesnt look hard

  • one way to snap the axel as nut stretcher says take some courses i wouldnt do that unless i had a defender to bend

  • Never ever turn your wheel to the opposite of a roll you could of easily flipped your vehicle.... Take some driving courses you are going to hurt your self!

  • why not tried it up-hill?,,always easy down-hill even for a 2WD

  • does the free lander have a locking diff like the rangey?

  • For its size, weight, BHP, the Freelander is very good off road, where everyone gets it wrong is the tyres if you put proper off road tyres on one it is a different vehicle altogether. Most freelanders have road tyres or less than 50/50 on them.

    Tam

  • this could be a two wheel drive version because not all freelanders come in four wheel drive

  • Hi i own a 2002 td4 Freelander

I have a few problems with it:

Sometimes the clutch stays down so i have to manualy lift it up.And sometimes it does not want to change gear

I also have a problem with the rear window i does not want to go up unless i manualy lift it up.if i lift it up using button it goes down again.

Is there anyone that knows where can i adjust the rear window (i heard there are 2 bolts on the inside of the trunk door)

can anyne help me with any of these problems?

  • Considering that's the freelander sport model with lower ground clearance, i'd say that's pretty impressive. I've owned two freelanders and a disco 300tdi, td5 and disco3 over the years and have always been impressed with just how sure footed the freelander is on muddy terrain.

  • its called careful precise offroading, utilizing the structures potential and suspension abilities, not seeing how fast you can fly over a field of boulders or mud at 5000 rpm.

  • @macosxuser88 hahaha

  • Does it have any ground clearance? They look shit off road.

  • Kewl, Quite Extreme For A Freelander That Has Been Pimped Out :S

  • try going back up

  • WTF !!! I do that with a skateboard !! Stupid, ridiculous

  • freelanders are crap offroad anyway

  • @Volvoforlife08 If you think they are crap offroad then perhaps you come out with us some time. We quite often take the Freelander on club runs instead of our worked up Series 2A. We do this to show newbees that its as much the driving skills as the machine. I gotta tell ya it raises some eyebrows.

  • i am going to buy a boat and refuse to get a truck to tow it so i was wondering if this could tow a boat that ways 1500 to 2300 LBS and can take it in and out of the water on a fairly steep muddy ramp? i know its rated to tow 2500 LBS but does anybody know how well it does with that kind of thing?

  • don't forget to take the trailer into account.

  • is dis what u call offroading?? stupid stupid

  • @Sirozzio hmmm...no road..so yeah off roading

  • FL really do nothing with off-road, like other regular lifted crossover. Boooring =/

  • Lol, people will take anything off road.

  • rofl.. why don't you try to go UP that way, then it will be more like offroading :)

  • Uff! We did exactly the same thing with our Jeep Cherokee 94' 2.5! But on snow! :-)

  • The instructions manual of my Freelander states it clearly, something like - "Don't go offroad unless it's really necessary!!". I love this car but I got stuck im mud a few to many times, the power and ground clearance really suck. Still is a great SUV for mild offroad and family wekends. Land Rover rules.

  • the freelander is not compared to the defender its more a road car but you can still play in the dirt great car and jeep sucks

  • Don't get a JEEP as they're fucking shit! And american too. Landrover's are world's best.

  • I LOVE your name lol

  • There's nothing wrong with a Jeep...

  • freelander dont have a low speed so it can easily down but cant upper... get a jeep..

  • I had a cherokee...it couldnt even do what the freelander above does...which is sad considering it had a low range like you said. Now I have a series land rover and pretty sure it could drive right over the roof of my old jeep if I tried.

  • or you could get a defender(Y)

  • Why didn't he take the road on the right :-)

  • Defender foarn -aufsitzn spoarn -

  • das stimmt schon aber freelander fahren und sich den lärm sparen ;)

  • Try to go up with it

  • Even with the Td4 engine, going up on that spot would simply be impossible.

  • Hmmm, if it struggled that much just to get down, I'd love to see it go UP!

  • i was pretty cautious and i doubt it if any other stock jeep would go up there..... it was wet, sandy and we all know that the freelander is not real offroad car like the others...

  • I'm just ribbing you. I think it's great that you are actually taking it off-road! More people should discover how fun it is.

  • tradeguy911, if you DOUBT, you have never seen real 4x4 in action.

  • jajaja esta filmación te costó un paragolpes delantero!!!

  • Like Land Rover. All vehicles under-powered, but when it comes to off-roading, nothing can beat them.

  • well driven still bad car for off road use

  • Bello

  • Amazing power! just shows what the freelander can really do. thanks.
