  • What kind of guitar is that?

  • @ian10022 The Godin

  • @ian10022

Thanks for checking out the vid. The guitar I'm using is a "Godin" and the model is a "Detour". I bought it used last year and based on what I've read, Godin is a Canadian company (the guitar parts are made in Canada but the guitar is assembled in the U.S.). Hope that helps – Ron

  • @iamRottenRon I want one in Orange withe te black boards that you have on it

  • Not too sure where the 'cover' bit applies here ?? Sounds like someone just posted the original to me !!!

  • @mrbillhicks

I'm flattered to hear you say that given that several viewers commented that I really didn't capture the right guitar tone on this one. The best way to avoid these perceptions is to use custom backing tracks where you can select the instruments you require and mix them with the ones ones that you record. That's what I'm doing now for most of my covers (to the extent possible). Unfortunately I have not been able to find any custom backing tracks for Bowie tunes - Ron

  • thkx Ron for your answer, im too bad in sound ingenering, i dont know anything about the software to use for eliminate the guitar on original etc, i need to search more this way of produce music (^_^)

but , maybe i'll stope to cover song, and start to compose (^o^)

but its another story , thanks again for the informations

  • hey Ron, very nice

where do you find the backing track? the quality is good, many times when i jam, i do on the originale cause guitar pro's software sound backing track that we often find on internet are very bad

anyway good cover, i like bowie too (^o^)

Thanks for taking time to view and comment. When available, I purchase "custom accompaniment tracks" from Karaoke-Version. All instruments & vocals are available as separate mp3 files so you can use what you need & record the parts that you wish, e.g., guitar or bass in my case. When custom backing tracks are not available I use the original track & mix it so that my part(s) are louder and I try to eliminate any "bleeding" through of the underlying parts. Hope that helps - Ron

  • Amazing work, really spot on bro!

  • @ZosoGravity

Thanks for checking it out, I really appreciate it - Ron

  • very very nice, again :) btw, what guitar would u recommend for a starter like myself? My favorite music consists of GNR, ACDC, Cult, Led Zeppelin, Iron maiden and more classis hard rock bands.. I've set my eyes on Epiphone Gibson Standard and started thinking about Fender Stratocaster.. Which one would you recommend? :)

  • @ltklev

Hey dude, thanks a lot for your support, I really appreciate it. I'm far from an expert in these matters but I'm happy to share my thoughts with you. There are a number of factors that you might consider when selecting gear. I'll send you a personal message with some ideas as there is limited space in a coment field. Thanks again for the feedback - Ron

  • If a Strat and an Ibanez could fuck, the baby would be your guitar.

  • @Lancedup

Er, that's a good thing, right? :-) This guitar has been a good purchase for me. I had a few minor problems with string buzz and getting used to the neck but I instantly became addicted to the sound I could get out of it. Thanks for viewing - Ron

  • Hey good cover dude. Thanks a lot for sharing. Cool video too, has some sort of film look feel to it... was it shot @ 25 fps?

  • @yourpsychedelic

Thanks for checking it out dude! I simply increased the exposure in my movie editor to give the video a slightly black & white look. I think most movie editors let you adjust the brightness, contrast, exposure, etc. I got the idea from the lyrics where Ziggy has a "snow white tan". I kind of liked the effect and used it on subsequent videos. Thanks a lot for viewing and commenting - Ron

  • awesome play :)

  • @pleasanthacking

Thanks very much. I love this Bowie tune, it's very representative of that whole "glam rock" era. Thanks for checking it out - Ron

  • Great !!! nice version of Ziggy very very good

  • @SergioLuizguitar

Thanks for viewing and commenting dude, I really appreciate it - Ron

  • My favorite Bowie song! Great tone as usual. I see you was a guitar player in the past!

  • @gitcover

  • @JStraw7103

Thanks Ian, your support is very much appreciated - Ron

  • way cool ron, one of my favorite Bowie tunes, nice job too!

  • @1stp4ward

Thank you - it's one of my favorite Bowie tunes as well. The Ziggy Stardust story really captures the "rock star" stereotype of the 70's including all their excesses. Thanks again for viewing and the feedback - Ron

  • oh no!!!!!!!!!!! I thought this was led zeppelin Now you can kill me hahahahaha nice sound!!! very nice! I like it!!

  • @duilkin

You're funny dude! The confusion seems to stem from British rock bands that were all active around the same time - close enough right! :-) Thanks for the feedback man, I really appreciate it - Ron

  • @sydjimiizzy

Thanks for checking it out Gris. Have a great weekend - Ron

  • Nice job -- great tune!

  • @FluffyWagglekins

Many thanks for viewing and taking time to comment man, I really appreciate it - Ron
