HPE (and LPE) is nice and they do some great work, but they are WAY over priced. my shop can do the same for a lot less. for example, since HPE does work on my V, LPE's TVS1900 package for the 07 V (mine) is 11 grand plus shipping the car north. my shop here will do the same thing for about 8500.
but i am sure that car pulls like a raped ape. and i wouldnt mind having it, auto and all. haha
@colegraham lollol... the car is already back fom hennessey, it was shipped to Texas and received the v700 package and shipped back... 690whp or something i believe...yeah.. well honestly i think it is more luxary than sport, it does have that monster engine... but it does weight like 4100lbs and looks a lil more on the luxary side... either way the thing pulls pretty damn hard
@stevey323 that's the best of both worlds rite there buddy !!! luxury and speed !!! the audi r8 cost damn near twice as much and can't hold the cts-v's jockstrap
traffic and an M6 doesnt bother me. i am driven mine through The Bay Area, LA, Phoenix, El Paso, and Dallas-Fort Worth before. and there was some nightmare traffic in those places. granted i dont have to do it everyday, so you have a valid point there.
U had the keyless transmitter and you didnt start it up for us?!? Shame on u! Wait, then again, you said it was ur brothers. As soon as u fired that Caddy up, he would have heard it rumbling from in the house and whooped ur *ss! lol j/k Thx 4 posting tho! ;)
@NokturnalCarClub MAYBE in a straight line on hot pavement. The Gallardo will outclass it in every way on the track, however. Don't let your head swell - the caddy is still just a GM with a slow revving big bore motor after all. *shrug*
@9b8 See the awesome part about that "slow reving big bore" motor is that swap clutch and flywheel on it and it will behave like a sport bike. It's GM's fault for putting a heavier than needed clutch/fly combo in this car to make sure grandma doesn't freak out at the fist sign of clutch chatter.
@Daytonaman675 On alcohol or nitromethane, perhaps it may get rev happy, lol. But you can forget it on pump gas, even with a billet aluminum race flywheel. The issue is with the big bore, larger displacement and OHV architecture (e.g. push rods). The only really rev happy FACTORY engine GM made that I can nod to would be the LS7. But mind you, it had titanium rods to help it get there. With stock rods, you can bet your ass it would have been a powerful, but turd revving gas motor, too.
@9b8 I think you should check out tilton clutches. They make a multiplate carbon/carbon and ultralight flywheel that weighs in around the 18lb mark thats taking over 50lbs of rotational mass from the stock clutch. If you still think it's going to rev slow after that I don't know what to tell you.
Alright now you gotta tune you car more and woop your bro ass!!!
