The only part that I didnt like about this movie was when Hedorah kills people when he flies over them. That scene poisoned my mind for years and still keeps me from watching it every once and awhile.
@GZilla2010 you see that's what I liked about this film. Not only was it my first, but it showed people getting killed. It's realistic (as it can be). A very under-rated godzilla film if you ask me, one that is over looked, and by far the best of the 70s series.
Really nice job on the cutting! Here's my two cents though, a big part of what makes this movie so exceptional is Riichiro Manabe's totally unexpected off-kilter broken jazz score. I know the purists hate it, and only want to hear Ifukube's familiar marches, but I don't think they fit this movie at all, and the music you used is also very film-friendly in a more predictable way. I like your cut, I just think ALL the elements they chose made this film special.
CP, I vaugely remember that there was a scene in the movie at a club where a woman (in a band) was singing something about "Save the Earth", etc. Very groovy and psychedelic. It would be great to post that scene and the song.
love the smog monster

For America right now, that'd be a pretty kick ass monster if he just inhaled pollution.
