Marine shooting MK 12

I personally have had experiences with AR-15 and AR-10s getting FTFs when the magazine was rested on the ground, especially when it was an old magazine or a new rifle because it forces the magazine a little bit too high and the bolt catches on the back of one of the feed lips and either sticks halfway or just doesn't cycle.

I never taught the use of bipods, nothing against them but never could keep them on a military rifle. Used 20rd mags vs 30 (from Brownells) for scoped shooting, keeps them out of dirt prevents malfunctions and allows better prone shooting grip & position. For supported prone rested rifle on alice or butt bag. I liked K-bay range because it always seemed windy and challenging. If you can shoot there you will do good anywhere...Semper Fi

@danschmidt1995 The major differences between them: M16A2 is 20 inch barrel with standard fore end (Non floated), trigger group std milspec, with select fire- safe, semi, burst with iorn sights- M16A3 Same as a2 with full auto trigger group, iorn sights, the M16A4 has KAC M5 RAS often issued with ACOG day optic, Some equipped with auto groups, some with burst trigger groups.

Mk 12 Varied, floating fore end, match ammo and 6x acog or Leupold Mk 4 day optic. Semper Fi

you have to be an 03. after that, its usually the 0311s (riflemen/ line companies) that use this rifle. After you're an 03, it pretty much just depends on the needs of the unit, unfortunetly. The mark 12 is obviously used by sta (surveillance and target acquisition {sniper}) platoons, and if you're a hog you rate the 7.62 version if you want, among other badass shit.

yes that was a feeding malfunction and as MrMalicious5 said it is a Leupold Mark 4, its a decent scope. the suppressor shouldn't affect the accuracy up to the effective range of the weapon

anyone who has shot in full combat gear know that kevlar (helmet) are pain in the ass when shooting from prone positions, an old magazines with wore out springs dont help either.
