Jeff, your vid was great - got me thinking how Twitter has affected my identity in addition to PD & growth. I tweet to learn & share with an incredible community of smart, caring ppl who challenge me to engage, contribute, & take risks. I learn about them through their insights, values, love of family, humor, & even trivial comments. When I explain Twitter to first-timers, I think of peeps as a circle of close friends. Tweeting is a terrific, meaningful activity to unwind after a long day! Joe
Sorry, my video response didn't seem to come through very well, but to anser your question, I tweet because it helps me network with people professionally as an instructional designer as well as people who are interested in similar things as me. It does seem to be very meaningful for the very reason you stated even though it is hard to pin it down to one thing and I am also still exploring myself why it is so meaningful. But, being able to engage people with diverse interests does shape me.
