MMJ, Cage The elephant. KY and especially Louisville has a great rock/alternative scene,and has for a long time. It's like the anti-Nashville . My favorite Louisville band of all time is still Days Of The New, in the mid 90's they were the shit.

I've lived in lots of states and lots of cities. I chose to live in KY. I work in Louisville, love it, live in Spencer county, love it. And spend my weekends at the Gorge. The state is full of genuinely kind people and some of the most beautiful parks and scenery I have ever seen. I have a nagging feeling that wherever you are would be shitty.
