c'est pas ça la cavatine, la musique française demande plus de sobriété et d'élégance!! et trop de vibrato, pas assez de longueur, trop de son poussés .. bref c'est pas bon. et stop move!!
Great job - and a great accompanist! (It makes all the difference in the world...) It's an incredibly hard piece - there's a little bit of everything in it.
@flightsimdan Ha. I did this for my US Army audition. It's a great piece to showcase lots of different styles in a few minutes. De Meij's Concerto is excellent as well.
I played Morceau Symphonique last year (Freshman Year) and im either doing this solo or Fantasie Brilliante from the Arbans..loved playing Guilmant's Morceau though, it was a beautiful piece to play.
well played but what crappy mouthpiece is he using? looks a bit like dennis wick, but i think in university he should be over dennis wick... he's good for mutes but nothing else!
I did this solo last year( sophmore year of highschool ) right now im working on carnival of venice but any way you played it very well but the moving drives me insane
Yeah i did this for omea my sophomore year too.(got a I) then i did a rimsky piece for junior year.(got a I) now i am reading the Morceau Symphonic by Alexandre Guillmant... (hopefully getting a I)
@Jakbonez I did Morceau Symphonique for my audition to thee Northern Arizona University school of music. How did you do on it? Beautiful Piece. I'm doing Cavatine for my jury this semester.
This is fantastic. I have auditioned with this piece and it's not as easy as it sounds. I, for one, appreciate the movement. It helps connect the audience to the art, which is something most forget to do.
Nice playing and very nice tecnique, one of the good '' personal '' version on youtube ... But still a problem : Why everybody's always so much moving ? Bad for the sounds.
what's the last note of that piece?

A Conn 88-HTO? Ahaha, it looks exactly like my trombone, so I'm just wondering. It sure does sound great though, whatever it is.

Great job! Excellent style! Keep moving. It's natural to move. The greatest musicians in the world feel the music physically as well as mentally.
